I'm very pleasantly surprised. It's better than The Last Stand. It's great seeing them both together. The director knows how to hit the right tone. It's more serious with some humor in the right places. It's not really an action flick. It mixes different genres (a bit thriller, a bit action, a bit mystery). Some familiar faces to which I won't spoil for you. I give it a 7+

Yeah, the roof thing was silly. Because if didn't collapse under the weight of the chopper and note that the zombies were already there, why would it suddenly collapse in so many different places? This had "We need a good excuse for an spectacular action scene" written all over. Regardless of it being silly, it was a great scene. Don't forget, next to the pig, there were also multiple close ups of the zombie on the fence who's eyes were bleeding.

As it should be Alex, as it should be. At least in this version you have unlimited credits and checkpoints. Try the original. Now that's hardcore.

For me, Arena shooters will never die! But the audience has sadly. As said above, gun game in CS is a fun alternative and you can still find me on Quakelive

Number 2 on my list is the Ghost 'N Goblins franchise. I have them all on the NES/SNES/Genesis and PSP. Oh, and even Maximo on the PS2. Too bad Capcom totally forgot about it and they cancelled the online version, which looked pretty promising btw.

I would love to see someone do a remake of a Quake map that still looks and feels like Quake. Whoever pulls that of is a legend in my book.

I knew this topic would pick up. Some excellent choices guys. Keep'em coming!

I'm just a bit disappointed Dux hasn't posted Dungeon Keeper yet.

Minos, wouldn't you agree that Soul Reaver stood the test of time rather well and that the original Blood Omen would be a better choice for a remake?

I agree with you HP except for the SP part. Quake 1 and 2 are still rock solid. Especially the Quake 1 community pumps out excellent maps and mods.

Just went before work. Damn, that shit was tense. My butt cheeks were squeezed tighter together than when a hetero visits a gay bar. Astonishingly well crafted, best use of 3D so far. True masterpiece.

The generally consensus seems to be, especially with movies, that remakes/reboots are bad. The past was awesome, the present is mostly crap. Be that as it may, if you have unlimited resources, which game would you like to bring back? Which studio should make it? But most of all, what must it be like?

For me, it's Blood. The very best of the Build engine games. Extremely violent, dark and the coolest weapons and one liners ever. Playing soccer with decapitated heads? Check! Burning people with a flare gun or spray can? Check! Stabbing people to death with a voodoo doll? Check! Not sure which studio should bring it back though. The most important thing would be to maintain the original look and feel. Preferably the pixel porn. It's a game that simple doesn't need a whole lot more.

Should you have missed out on this legendary piece of software, you can buy it for almost nothing on Gog.com.

PS: I forget to mention the game's incredible enemies like the cut of hand from Evil Dead, that keeps choking you while screaming "I'll swallow your soul".

I like to play board games such as Heroquest and Warhammer Quest with my friends (the nerd is strong in me). Good custom tiles are hard to find. The tiles I like all look hand drawn. I fully realize this probably a very dumb question but 'm wondering how these are made? What programs or techniques would be used? Photoshop and a Wacom tablet? Drawn by hand and colored on the computer? I'm a noob regarding digital art and would really like to know more.
