Hopefully, we'll get one up, I get this feeling this game is a lot better appreciated if you play with at least a friend.

We shouldn't invite KoKo5oVaR though. Can't trust that guy after what he posted here

Yeah, it's always kinda weird to pay 60 bucks to hear that multiple 12 year olds fucked my dead mother while being repeatedly referred to as a faggit that should choke on a dick and die. Good times!

This is insane! More than 800k sales within the month as an alpha. Seriously thinking about getting it as well. Gaming backlog is huge but I must know what all the fuzz is about! Are there Mapcore groups?

Not jumping on any sort of hate train here, so it's a serious question, but is this me or does this look pretty dated? I know it's Source but that engine can still shine. Nothing wrong with the mechs and stuff but I just got this huge last gen vibe. Gameplay over graphics but I expected more from an Xbox One exclusive.

I hope this game won't suffer due to EA's current rep with online games and support.

I think it could be useful to have an thread dedicated to Steam Trading. Sure, you can sell stuff on the Marketplace but it's easier, quicker and free with friends. Besides I got an couple of coupons that I can't sell. Anyone want to trade? Or in some cases have them?

Yeah, it's a problem. I made a problem ticket for it. Steam says you still have cards but when you want to trade, your inventory is empty.

Yeah, they put them back up but no way to find cards on the Market now. I only need number 10 to craft the badge. Help a brother out please. Could trade for: 2,5,6,8 and 9.

Yeah I find it crazy how a producer doesn't know what state his game is in. I understand he's on holiday and stuff but all of the complaints and problems have been spoken about VERY loudly. I find it hard to believe he had no idea.

And wow, Sprony, that response from EA support is pretty horrible.

I am worried for Titanfall now. I'm hoping they don't ruin that too...

No dude, that's worst part. EA doesn't answer. They send there customers to Answer center and let other customers answer. That's the support.

And this is soo true, i will not buy any BF game untill i'm 1000% sure that this game is worth something

You know what response I got on Answer HQ with a very well constructed question including all relevant information? Buy a better PC. Ludicrous since I'm way above the minimum. There has been a lot of events the past couple of years that are really insulting to customers. As a response I decided to sell my Origin account. Not that they care nor does it make the slightest difference but for me, it felt the only way to end a bad relationship.

I enjoyed a lot of EA games and I'm not shouting that I would never buy anything from them anymore. But for now, I won't build up a library in Origin because I have little faith in what EA plans to do if they ever decide to drop it. That leaves console games only and I'll think long and hard before buying something from them in the future and certainly not at release. Luckily the only EA game I was looking forward to is Titanfall and since it will not be on Steam and without mod support from launch, it's a no go for me sadly

That article is spot on and those tweets were unwise to downright insulting.

    TL:DR - Fuck EA!

In the polar opposite end of Gravity. This is a danish movie about a male kindergarden teacher that gets wrongly accused for sexually abusing a girl, and how an entire community goes against him.

I saw a part of it while changing channels and it was very impressive. We had company and nobody could stop watching it. Conversation died out and we all watch it to the end. Too bad I missed the first part. Very powerful movie.

    Games:

1 - Metro: Last Light -- hands down the best game this year, no competition.

2 - Shadow Warrior -- great reboot that doesn't fall into the usual traps, but can get boring quickly.

3 - Papers, Please -- cool concept and great, cold art direction.

    Music:

1 - LowCityRain - LowCityRain -- great post-punk album by the mastermind behind Lantlôs.

2 - Year of No Light - Tocsin -- these guys strike again with some absolutely heavy drone/sludge doom.

3 - Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe -- contagious synth-pop with really fucking catchy stuff, they're awesome live too!

    Movies:

1 - Only God Forgives -- no words for that, but I can understand people who think it's abysmal.

2 - Django Unchained -- well, that's a Tarantino movie. Nothing beats Death Proof but it's good, and Di Caprio is great.

I would have named Django myself but sadly it's from December 2012

As usual you see all these lists popping up everywhere about the best of last year. I don't know if the Core is interested in those but I'm interested in what the Core considers the best. So I made this thread and we'll see if it picks up. I'm going to keep it simple and name the best 3 games and movies I've played or seen last year. With a little text describing why of course. One little disclaimer and I know we all face this problem. I have lots of games, like The Last of Us, that still need to be played. So let's keep that in mind.

    Games:

    1. GTA 5

As if there was ever any doubt. Each GTA has it's flaws and this one was no exception. For instance, using 3 main characters was great but I never felt the need to switch between them (during missions) unless the game told me so. I love Trevor but be that as it may, none of the characters were really relatable. It was just a bunch of guys doing messed up stuff without real consequences. The rag to riches story is getting old but I prefer Niko, Carl and Tommy's stories more than what we got now. But it's all minor criticism that melts away before the awesomeness that is GTA 5. Even if you don't like it, at the very least you must applaud the technical achievement that went into creating this game.

    2. Bioshock Infinite

While not as fresh and innovative as the original it still was one hell of a ride. I absolutely loved the setting. It was a beautifully crafted world that was just begging you to explore every nook and cranny. The panorama's were amazing. I played it on the Xbox and sometimes I just let the game idle to enjoy the view. The story was great too, it took a hold of me from the start. Excellent pacing as well. I love how the first hour or so it's just you're walking around and all of a sudden an explosion of violence, in total contrast of what was going on, sets the entire thing in motion. Tarantino couldn't have done it better himself.

    3. Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm

I've played a lot of RTS games but this one had the best mission design ever. There was never a dull moment and not a single mission was the same. I love how the game forced you out of your comfort zone and made you think outside the box. I did find it a bit easier as WoL but that also made it more enjoyable. I never expected to like the Zerg but it was fun to play with them. I know a lot of people don't like the story but I'm digging it so far. Both games connect well and the besides the corny romantic stuff, it's good enough to motivate you as a player. I'm looking forward to Legacy of the Void.

    Movies:

    1. Gravity

Best cinematic experience ever. I watched it in Imax and I was blown away. I haven't seen such good use of 3D since Avatar. I appreciate the effort that went into making this as realistic as possible (as far as movies go). For instance, the scene where all goes to hell in background but you can't hear it since there's no sound in space. The tension was also killing me. Damn what a ride this movie was.

    2. Star Trek: Into Darkness

I never liked Star Trek. It wasn't my thing. When the 2009 version came out I didn't go to see it. Later, a friend of mine kept pushing me to watch. He convinced me by saying he didn't like Star Trek either. Boy, was I in for a surprise. I loved it! Needless to say, I was waiting for this sequel especially after seeing a preview of the first 10 minutes in Imax. It did not disappoint me. One of the better Sci Fi movie in years.

    3. The Conjuring

Well crafted, scripted and acted. An outstanding film and truly chilling. For me, it's a new classic in the genre which had a good year (Insidious 2, Evil Dead). James Wan has come a long way from his torture porn days. Can't wait to see with what he comes up next.

Finally saw it. Thanks for sharing guys. Pretty much everything has been said already and I'm with PaulH for the most part, so no need for me to repeat that. I think it was average. Pitch Black is still the best and I for one, really liked Chronicles.

I remember i once met a noob in a village, we chated a bit and i gave him food and a fireaxe, then i told him he should look for food in the village :"take all the food, you'll need it mate, it's easy to starve in this game" i said, and we both said bye and good luck.

I went to the hill aside of the town and stalked him from afar while he was getting into every single house to find food.

Then long minutes later once he had finished, i showed myself outside of the village, he went to me and...this is hard.. i asked him : "Hey mate so did you found any food ?" he said : "Yes i did" , "oh, brillant" and then.. i.. i dunno what happened, but i shot him in the head and i .. took his food and my fireaxe back.

I felt so worthless, dirty and guilty at that moment. I actually thought the cops would knock at my door.

Yeah. Scary that such a large title seems so screwed up...

Why is that scary? Remember how they completely fucked up the last Sim City launch? Or what about the inferior cash in that was Dragon Age 2? The rushed Mass Effect 3? Or how they practically killed every developer they ever bought? How about ruining top rated franchises such as Command and Conquer and Dungeon keeper? Online pass? Forced Origin? Badly implanted micro transactions? No customer support? No after release support? By now people should expect nothing less from EA. There's a good reason why they have been chosen as the worst company for 2 years in a row.

I'm sure that when it works, BF4 will be great by all means and undoubtedly that everyone who worked on it put in their hearts and souls but as it stands it's a clusterfuck of a release with NO support. Sure, Dice is working hard on patches, but EA just redirects customers to Answer HQ which is the most arrogant solution of "customer service" I ever witnessed. If it was used as an extra tool for support it would be fine but no, EA just redirects you there. You have a problem? Guess what, so do these poor sobs which we sold unfinished crap. Why don't you guys try to fix it yourself. Thank you and fuck you I suppose. Answer HQ is kinda like an EA victim support group.

All my friends who bought BF4 had problems and ended up getting refunds (not through EA, but through the stores they bought it from) or sold their complete Origin accounts.

Get the brothers game! It's .... basically what I consider a guilty pleasure in games.

Yeah, it didn't win the vote but luckily it's on the daily deals. Got it as well. Still hoping to see War for the Overworld coming back in the Daily deals. Didn't spent a lot of money so far. I bought brothers for myself. Got Guacamelee from a friend as a Christmas present and I gave 2 games to other friends. I think 20 euro in total .
