    Also, the whole renting thing, we've looked into that. Maybe it's different in England but here, if they don't pay, you can't simply evict them. They have a lot of rights. So even if you find someone to rent it to, you never have the guarantee you'll see you money. So there's a chance that somebody is living for free in your house until all the arrangements are made to get rid of them.


    Secondly and this is a big problem here, somebody rents the place and uses it to grow weed. Lots of problems coming from that with the power company, legal stuff, damages, etc.


    Last but not least, what Beck said. Depending on your mortgage you can't simply rent it out. I had to first put it up for sale and after it had been on sale for 2 years only then was I allowed to rent it to someone.

    I think it's very loyal of you to keep coming back to this. But as a friend, she's bad for you. She cheated you before and she will do so again. Walk away bro, just walk away from this and stop tormenting yourself. This game is done for.

  • Buying a house and the games industry.

    I don't want to rain on your parade but buying a house, for me, was one of the dumbest things I ever did. I bought my home just before the crisis started (I didn't know it was coming of course). As you know, there's a baby on the way and I own a spacious apartment but with only one bedroom. This will become a problem in the future. We've been trying to sell it for 4 years now. Nobody is interested because almost nobody is buying. At the moment I've put it up with a 20.000 euro loss and still nothing. While not taking into account the money I invested in the house. If I ever get rid of it it will probably have cost around 30.0000 to do so (ex morgage over a 8 year period).

    That's not calculating what Skalg mentioned. I don't know England but stuff like garbage disposal + water is around 500 a year here. Also, I pay 150 euro per month for the maintenancr of the building. This was much cheaper when I got here and there's nothing I can do about it. It's just really a bottomless money sucking pit I don't get rid of. The same goes for my friends who bought houses. They all have similar problems. I will not buy another house in this economy again. In comparison renting is way cheaper.

    I would only reconsider if the economy returns to normal. So again, sorry for being negative, but I wouldn't buy even with a gun against my head. Especially in you're industry. Keep renting dude, seriously. But hey, that's just my opinion (since you asked).

  • Sprony and the Pendulum

    I'll write this down now, because if I get rejected this Friday I'll probably never finish this. Since Dux so eloquently said he didn't want another Helder (due to my gif use) I decided to incorporate even more gifs.


    Here we go: My team was, for the most part, really negative. I applied what the Core taught me and used that to my advantage. With a big difference this time. I didn't want to blow out anyone's candle to make my shine brighter. No, I wanted to stand out for my positive attitude. Those that fucked it up for us were the most vocal and placed the blame everywhere except on themselves.

    It's quite exhausting not going beserk and act positive day in and day out. So I've slept a lot lately.

    I used my time at work to focus on how to transfer our work to the new department. Nobody asked this of me, but I figured it would show good will on my part. I e-mailed the managers but got no response.

    They called a meeting with the entire team and the management. Afterwards they asked two of us to sit in on the next meeting with the people who stayed and had to do our jobs. I jumped at this opportunity and made sure me and my colleague were there. I don't know why but this felt tactically necessary.


    During the first meeting, my team said nothing so I jumped in and basically took over. When they asked how we would transfer our work I mentioned the document I sent before. I brought in my colleague as well (because he's very good and I would need him badly for what was to come). This resulted in him and me being appointed to train everybody. They also asked me to coordinate the entire transition. After the meeting the big boss said she's very happy that we'll be doing this.

    We setup the entire training in 2 days (there's a deadline) and I made sure we could start immediately. We received a lot of praise from the higher ups. My colleague, in a moment of tactical brilliance, proposed that we would make the participants rate our training. The average score was a 9 so when the management got hold of this they were like:

    There wasn't more we could possibly due to shine so we had to wait for the interview which I just came back from. I threw everything at it but the kitchen sink and it's by far the best interview I've ever had. I got a lot of praise during the interview. I really was like:

    I would be content with that even if I don't make it because justice would still have been done. My biggest fear is that those fuckers that ruined us get the job. Anyway, I'm relieved now because I gave it my all. It's out of my hands and regardless of how it turns out, I've really done all I can so let me close with this:

    I watched The Fifth Element for the first time in years. I totally forgot how fucking cool this movie is. It's such a joyride. Also, Chris Tucker is amazing in this movie. Enjoy:

    Ive just finished the Militia campain (how i can change to IMC ? ) and this game is great, even the singleplayer was cool knowing that it was regular multiplayer mach. As for graphics and map design this is just epic and knowing that this is source GOD DAMN even i play on low just to get this moving really fast and smooth
