It's bloody, violent, it has great finishers, dual wielding, GIBS, melee, destructible cover and environments, bodies don't disappear (I always enjoy watching the result of my carnage), the menu looks slick and minimalistic, you can find secrets, health packs, NO FUCKING REGEN, game looks pretty, etc. What's not too like?
WTF is going at Naughty Dog. First Amy Hennig, then Justin Richmond and now Nate Wells. That's two game directors and a Lead Artist.

That they have messages it's undeniable, but I think there are other movies that did it better.
Addendum: i guess I also simply don't like Coppola, not that I want to talk about a distinctive style but I simply didn't like most of his movies that I've seen.

Agreed although that isn't a fair comparison. The poster clearly motivated his reasons. Again, the Mapcenter example. The owner of the domain disappeared so we we're unable to retrieve the old domain. We too considered going the posters route just to make it obvious to the community that it still lived. Eventually we decided to go with a new name which unfortunately never came of the ground. I think there's a big difference in trying to save a community or bait clicking. Maybe I'm just biased but this didn't look like a scam to me.

Yeah, but I can't lay my finger on the problem. Apocalypse Now is one of my favorites and time isn't an issue there. It's an experience that takes you deeper and deeper into the madness. Almost surreal. So I'm with you on that. It's probably just a matter of preference. Same with Drive, people were all praising it and I found it very dull and boring movie

I really really tried but it was boring as fuck to me.
I understand it's all about his failed attempts to connect and his complete and utter loneliness. How he slowly drifts away and how it ultimately ends. But still, for the life of me, after 4 tries I just stopped giving a damn. Clearly it's not meant for me.

Can't watch Raging Bull unfortunately. The way they treat women in that movie (which is an accurate depiction of that period) just doesn't fly with me. Tried it a couple of times but especially the bitchslaps only made me ragequit.
I think you guys are a bit harsh and not in the position to properly judge the poster motivations. Back when Mapcenter got hacked we desperately tried to make a new place for the community. All our hearts were in the right place and there was no scam. So simply accusing someone as a scammer, without proof, like Sentura did, is uncalled for imo.
Having said that, this idea will never work. Whenever a big site dies the best you can hope for are small splinter communities that survive. However, most of the time everything dies out completely.
Well, I followed Knj his suggestion and wrote down everything I ate last week. I decided to do what I normally do, so no diet. I wanted to know what my average intake was. After I calculated this (long live apps) it scared the shit out of me. Looking at those numbers (which I won't post) it became really clear that I have a problem and if I'm not going to do something about it, I will become an American.
So I started to change my eating habits last Monday. No specific diet but just trying to cut down first. My junk food and sugar intake has decreased by about 90%. Also, I've been riding 10 km on the home trainer everyday (about 250 kcal). It's a start I guess.
I hate mobile games but I do enjoy this one on occasion.

I find it quite believable since your stuff is really great. I have no Source experience and after a couple of videos I was able to make this (copy and pasted from the WIP thread):
A very simple scene after my first few days with Source. Loads to comment on of course but I'm still learning. I applied several techniques in this such as decals, overlays, props, env_sun, etc. So far I'm loving Source
