Is it me or was this EPISODE 9 a let down?
Maybe this is a bit exaggerated. However:
QuoteThey are doing Kings Landing really well. But the wall and Dany are less interesting and a lot of stuff feels like filler. There's no denying the quality this season (and some very well executed parts) but overall I find some parts dragging on and it it feels, in it's entirety, less balanced than previous seasons.
Plus, I felt let down because episode 9 used to be the true shocker. Ned lost his head in season 1, the Blackwater battle in season 2, the red wedding in season 3 and now this? However well some parts were executed it lacked the impact previous episodes had. Which is typical Martin style to change the rules though.
Overall some changes are for the better, but some are plain weird and I'm really trying to figure out what Jon's ending means this episode.

Ok, I've been at it for 2 weeks now and I went from 106,4 kilo to 103,7. That's almost a loss of 3 kilo. My birthday is coming up (first of July) and my aim is to be below 100 by then. Doesn't matter if it's 99,9 or lower, as long as it is under a 100.
In the first week I had a couple of slip ups (chocolate, soda and stuff) but last week was almost flawless (except for one desert when I ate at my fathers house). So it's still early but at least there's some progress

Oh and I spent 2 hours riding on my home trainer. I've found a neat little trick for that. I put it in front of the TV and started gaming while riding it. Time flies!

What movie/video games references do you recognize here?

Ah, my kinda question!
Lots of stuff from The Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles. Casey Jones his mask and clubs. Raphael his sai. A random turtle shield. Donatello his outfit. Shredder his outfit.
Probably not it, but the slot machine logo resembles The Karate Kid logo quite a bit.
Sub Zero and Raiden outfits.
Indiana Jones outfit.
The bike triggers something as well but I can't remember.

Well...I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks. Wii U sales bump thanks to MK8 was pretty modest in Japan. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=830485
I love Mario Kart and this one's looking especially great, but isn't it kinda sad that the only thing that gets ppl excited about the Wii U is another Mario Kart? I hope for Big N that they have another ace up their sleeve at E3...
Most definitively. Time will tell and it's sad indeed. I think the biggest problem is it's name and outdated specs. I spent a lot of time in shops that sell games (whenever my wife drags me a long to go shopping). You can't imagine how many times I've heard people say that they didn't know what the Wii U is and how it differs from the Wii. There's a lot of confusion about the product itself.

Group A: Brazil and Croatia
Group B: Spain and Netherlands
Group C: Colombia and Ivory Coast (interesting group indeed)
Group D: Uruguay and Italy (hardcore group)
Group E: France and Switzerland
Group F: Argentina and Bosnia
Group G: Germany and Portugal
Group H: Russia and Belgium
Yes, I've very conflicted about Group C. I think Ivory Coast is really good (I remember them from 2006) but they never survive the group phase. Greece is horrible to watch (11 men standing in front of the goal defending and hoping for that single counter) but I give them a better chance. But honestly, this group could go anywhere because Japan isn't bad either.
-
My predictions about the group winners:
Group A: Brazil and Mexico
Group B: Spain and Netherlands
Group C: Colombia and Greece (this one is hard)
Group D: Italy and England
Group E: France and Ecuador
Group F: Argentina and Nigeria
Group G: Germany and Portugal
Group H: Russia and Belgium

Missed your post, late to the party! Good way to start, don't tell anyone! At least for me I've noticed that if I have grand ideas and I share them too early I don't follow through... For some weird reason? Any psychology majors here? I sometimes fall in love with the idea more than the actual execution
Also you can notice the "here we go again" or "yeah right" look in people, not a motivational boost so indeed... Baby steps, just drop the food and it'll get you down a whole bunch of kg's!This is gonna sound harsh but I mean the best for you: you don't need us to babysit you bro, no excuses! In the end it's your body and it'll have to come from you, you rack disciprine man and it's a good first step that you realize this! Don't listen to that voice in your head, no one has it easy. See that buffed dude in the gym doing his last set of reps? He's sweating it, the voice in his head is saying he already did a good job and doesn't need to lift another one but fuck that, he does. See the dude running fast as shit on the treadmill? He already wanted to get off the treadmill halfway through but instead he ups the pace.
I don't know what gets you motivated but saying FUCK NO to that voice that makes me wanna quit is a huge boost for me, I am in control, I can make things happen. That and progress which is a guarantee if you don't give up.
I'm not saying to not listen to your body but there's a difference between your mental state and feeling physical strain... The difference between a "good" and a "bad" gym day is mostly in between the ears... Don't forget that!
You don't have a weight problem, you have a discipline problem. Fix that and it'll improve a lot of things in your life.I hope that helped some! Do post progress though, I'm sure we can help you out, just saying you can't always rely on others! We can't take the steps for you but you can and we'll help out where we can!

If you really have a snack problem/addiction the number 1 way to fix behaviour like that is to not put yourself into those kind of situations for at least the first week to break the pattern if you have it really tough... For instance if you can't watch a movie without a bag of chips just don't watch TV for a week. Temptation is a bitch so just don't get yourself into those kind of traps! Might sound obvious but often overlooked.
You are absolutely right about everything. I failed so many times on my own that I figured I would try to rely on others. Which was naive at best. As if people would turn into personal coaches all of sudden just because I lack discipline. I just never understood what happened really. I use to go to the gym 6 times a week. I was buffed as hell. But the last couple of years I just gave up on exercising because I became lazy and fat. I've been going up and down ever since and the reason for it is unclear to me. Because in all other aspects of my life I run on discipline. To be honest and this sounds really pathetic, I think it has to do with eating being the only thing left. I stopped smoking, drugs, drinking, etc.
Anyway, I'm following your advice and thank you for taking the time to write that down. I appreciate it. So, from now on. I start my days with this:
