Surely the weather is a con for European teams but it has been hotter in previous matches. So far Belgium had relatively 'easy' opponents (including the entire group). Now they face a real challenge and it's pretty clear they lack conviction. With 20 minutes to go they really have to step up and play like they did against the USA.

Quote from Thrik
Earlier today I randomly had the most excruciating pain I've felt in like 20 years in my abdomen, I was seriously in the foetus position on the floor sweating like shit and having to really focus on my breathing — and I was still in agony for like an hour.
Considering that my dad was in hospital for near-identical symptoms this week I found this fucking weird. However unlike his gallstone-caused pain which requires intervention, mine passed after taking indigestion pills, painkillers, and basically curling up.
So yeah, I was kind of freaking out. It was so painful I wouldn't have even made it to a taxi to A&E, and I was reluctant to phone an ambulance for what could turn out to be gas.
I do think it might have been some kind of gas, that or some short-lived poisoning. But wow the pain. Fuck. Hope that never happens again.
Might be wise to do at least a check up at your doctor.

You don't have to buy the expansion so the base game should still be fine right?
yeah but you can still fight new armies, well you can't chosse to not fight them in random matchs.
That fucking sucks. Luckily for me, I don't play MP in COH2. Just the skirmishes, extra missions, etc.

Came across this and immediately thought about this thread:

Seriously, had there ever been a team at the World Cup that has had so much referee help as Brazil has troughout it's matches?

I'd say of good first party titles, PS4 has Infamous and Resogun. With Xbox One, though granted I haven't played these extensively since I don't own the console, then theres Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall (though that's not really a first party title as such, PC and that).
For the rest of 2014 on PS4 then there's....Drive Club? Maybe? On Xbox One there's Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, plus I could be persuaded into getting the Remastered Halo pack and play Halo 2 again. None of those are exactly system sellers, but if you judge the lineups solely on first party, then I'd say the Xbox One stands stronger for 2014.
There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the PS4 is the more worthwhile platform to have for first party titles further in the future, but right now they're pushing everything into 2015 and beyond. And besides, right now I'm really happy that I got the PS4 first, since the best stuff has been 3rd party, which always runs and looks better on PS4.
Thanks for clarifying that. Since driving isn't my thing, unless I can run people over or blow my opponents up, and I'm pretty much done with the zombie hype, I'm not missing out. So yeah, I'm with you regarding everything else. Halo is flirting with me as well, but if I'm honest, I bought the Anniversary edition for the first one and probably played it like 2 hours or so. That's not enough for me to justify buying the console. No, the system seller for me has to be announced yet. I think the only major first party release that's coming up for the PS4 is The Last of Us and that's a port (a good one, but a port still).

But yeah, with this and Forza Horizon 2 then I'm fairly certain that I'll end up getting an Xbox One in the later part of the year. So far I'd actually say that their released first party titles are much stronger than what Sony's been able to dish out.
Like what? Serious question. Also not claiming that Sony's line up is strong but there's a lot coming and so far, for me at least, nothing that's announced for the 180 interested me. Maybe I missed something.

In short:
QuoteThe problem with the franchise goes deeper than a long history of terrible launches, however. Whatever culture kept the quality of games up and tried to preserve the value of the franchise is long dead, as evidenced by the current reality of the industry and past quotes from developer EA DICE itself. It's perfectly fine to still be a Battlefield fan, but buying Battlefield Hardline at launch is one of the worst bets you can make in gaming in 2014.

Can't say people sound to convinced so far.

I say:
Brazil beats Chile.
Columbia beats Uruguay.
Netherlands beats Mexico.
Costa Rica beats Greece (they shouldn't even be here).
French beats Nigeria (not sure though, Nigeria performed well).
Germany beats Algiers.
Argentina beats Swiss.
USA beats Belgium (sorry Squad and Ravage, but so far they haven't convinced me. But I do hope they win though).
7/8 same as Seldoon, not bad at all!
Quote from Seldoon182Display MoreSo now
Brazil - Colombia
France - Germany
Netherlands - Costa Rica
Argentina - Belgium
Second except Germany beats France (sorry DKM and other Frenchies).
Quote from SquadWow, this was really a thrilling game (for me).Took so long for us to score, but Lukaku was really the gamechanger now (although I think Origi played a very good game as well).
Howard was absolutely amazing, apparantly he was the goalkeeper on a WC game who managed the most saves in a single game since 1966! He was deserverdly awarded MVP imo.
I'm glad we proven you wrong though, Sprony
So now there's four South-American and four European teams left.Yes Squad, it took them 4 games but this was the Belgium I remembered. To be fair though. There was no defense and it still took them an amazing number of tries to score. That will be very different against Argentina (who aren't convincing anyone this entire tournament btw). Still, great entertainment so thank you Belgium.

Too bad they lost

Now this is football, what a match!

Definitively! Good substitution btw. Lukakoo knows how it's done!
