Sam is like toothless crack whore who does anything for 5 dollars while Wolf is a high class escort for elitists. Sam offers quick mindless fun while Wolf offers a deep narrative and is context driven.
So, lots of stuff surfacing lately. It's pretty much confirmed that he has founded Boss Key Productions. Earlier last month he announced that he is "coming out of retirement to make video games again" and now, according to a report, Guerrilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee will be the C.O.O. of his new studio (the two of them worked together on Jazz the Jackrabbit). Regarding Doom, just read the Quakecon stuff will be behind private doors. But some cellphone footage will undoubtedly turn up.
Thinking about it, they are promoting the beta in a big way. Normally publishers choose to hide the actual game and even withhold reviews until the release day. This is the old school way. Which they wouldn't do if they weren't that confident about it in the first place. Think about it.
It doesn't guarantee anything and I still don't believe it will be any good but at least they recognize current affairs which is a positive development.
Doom needs to prove itself all over again after a lengthy absence, according to Pete Hines, Bethesda's VP of marketing and PR.
Having successfully rebooted "a bit of a tarnished brand" in Wolfenstein with this year's The New Order, Hines said the company has similar ambitions for id Software's upcoming shooter. Hines said of Wolfenstein in the latest issue of MCV (via OXM): "The last couple of games were either 'ok' or 'not great'. It wasn't a franchise where people were desperate for the next one. Wolfenstein isn't Uncharted. We knew this would take some explaining. But developer Machine Games has now untarnished the IP.
"We view that similarly to Wolfenstein, because it's been so long since the last Doom game," Hines continued. "We are going in as if we need to prove ourselves all over again. We have no free passes. Nobody will assume this is going to be awesome". "We are going to have to prove that this is something that's going to be fun and different that you need to pay attention to. That has to be our default position, we can't be: 'It's Doom, of course you're going to play it'. But that just makes us work harder." It was confirmed in April 2013 that Doom 4 had been "rebooted" after a prototype failed to "exhibit the quality and excitement that id and Bethesda intend to deliver and that Doom fans worldwide expect".
I didn't want to see Pacific Rim in theaters reasoning that I didn't care for Transformers versus giant lizards but boy was I wrong. It's a visually amazing movie that I should have seen on the big screen.

Even though Gearbox is 't developing I'm still not spending money on this. I bought the first one with all DLC and found it extremely repetitive and actually annoying. Would have tried the second but after Aliens Gearbox will never get another penny out of me.
