Hey heyyy. What's up. Been working hard and thought I'd show a little side project. Got to play a little around with Mental Ray in Maya. Can't say I'm a big fan of non real time rendering techniques but it does have some cool bells and whistles. That's kind of an improvisation on a model and concept made by Nick "Panick" who is... incredible. I've been drooling over his work and thought I might study it to get some hands on at doing hard surface type modeling. So yep... wish I could join the Whiteboxing challenge... but so much work... I can't.

My only gripe with the singleplayer is that it doesn't scale down. I feel like shit when I have to spend 40-50 minutes on a mission and someone who playing with friends can do the same in 20 minutes. The game's difficulty should ramp up with more players and so does the loot.
Is there a way to invite players around me to quests? That's another aspect of the game that's very weak, you basically don't socialize with anyone at all since there's no trading/chat whatsoever.
Yes, the game is rather unclear about that. Went to do a strike yesterday and one of the guys bailed on us. The mission doesn't scale down, the game doesn't try and find a new player and as far as I could see we couldn't invite none. For a shared world shooter it's surprisingly solo focused.

Thank you Buddy!
I'm also very pleased to announce that Hipshot has donated several 4packs of his game Hammerwatch!

I never 'got' FF and looking and this, it's like they handed some Japanese dude a suitcase full of cash and some of the strongest LSD ever conceived by man and told him to go wild.

The Internet is one of the best things that has happened to us. However, it also gives every idiot with an connection the means to voice his/her opinion and that's where I often lose faith in people. Same goes with all the Destiny "hate". Don't let the noises of people's opinions drown out what you believe in. My friends and I are having a blast with this game and I'm loving it. If you can voice your opinion in a constructive way and explain why you don't like it, that's fine. Taste differs. But to all those people jumping on the hate wagon, GTFO!

I've send some of these amazing screenshots to Epic (like I said earlier). I'll let you know if I get a response.
I've also updated all my posts at different sites with these shots.

I can't believe no one mentioned Halo: Combat Evolved. It was announced on the E3 of 2000 for the PC (and MAC I believe) with the trailer below. This blew my mind. It was love at first sight. When Microsoft bought the game I simply got an Xbox just for Halo 1 and 2. I didn't have any other games on it. Both titles made it worth the purchase though because me and my friends played it day and night. Master Chief is a bad ass character. It's an unbelievable rich universe and it really does it's own thing. Looking at this trailer now and I still get goosebumps.

Dual wielding, stealing vehicles, brutes, urban combat, it was just so much more.

For me, this trilogy is an icon. I love the world, it's characters, it's story and so on. Too bad that Halo 4 was disappointing. But they'll never take away the above. Now, to finish this off, the commercial in question.

You read it right, we are currently developing a Quake 3 contest to celebrate it's upcoming 15th anniversary. I'll talk more about this contest in the near future. In the mean time however, we are looking for sponsors. I myself, will of course donate money for this but perhaps some of you might want to chip in as well? Or even better, maybe some of you could ask your employers if they want to share Steam keys for their games? Either way, any help would be appreciated and of course, everyone will be credited!
