In all honesty, I think trailers nowadays suck in general. Even the best movies have crappy trailers. They use to do it a lot better.

Yeah, I'm not normally a day 1 kinda guys (unless it's GTA) but it looked so promising and they had such an impressive track record. Oh well, shit happens.

You know I got a lot to be thankful for this year. I survived the closing of my department. I found a new and better job. I finally got my wish and became a dad and despite all of that I really feel like shit. I tried to ignore it because it feels so selfish and ungrateful. But I can no longer deny that I'm unhappy. Waving achievements around doesn't do anything for me.

Life has changed. I hate my new job, I truly hate it. Fuck the money, I just want out. But there is a new merger coming up in April so let's see if I still have a job then. Hopefully there will be better opportunities available to me because of said merger. It's not the work btw, it's the colleagues. I despise them. It's all backstabbing and gossip. It really feels like King's Landing. Everyone fucking each other over to be in the King's grace.

I barely see my friends anymore. It's fading. Partly my fault, mostly due to a lack of time and conflicting schedules. My wife is working again. We don't have family nearby to help out so it all comes down to us doing it or having to drive an hour just so her parents can watch the little one. I can't get rid of my house. It's a 2 room apartment. There's no separate room for the baby. There's no room for my home office (I work a lot from home). There's not a moment rest. I don't see my wife a lot and when we do we're both exhausted and irritated about all the stress. There have been better days for us. So in truth, I'm actually kinda lonely. I miss lan parties with my friends, having movie nights, table top gaming or just go out to the new Imax flicks or for a drink and a dinner. I could probably improve this situation but I'm just too fatigued. All I do is eat which isn't making me any happier in the long run.

Even doing stuff for the Core doesn't give me the satisfaction it once did. Nothing does really. Not even gaming. Sometimes I can't even summon the will to masturbate. God I'm depressed

So, I finally played this game. Decided to play it with a friend (huge Alien fan, not really a gamer). So he just watches me play. Our first session was about 3/4 hours. I have to say that I'm really impressed. Visually it's spot on and the sound department deserves an award. I also like the story and how they set everything up. I expected the Alien to show up earlier but damn, that was a nice reveal. Great build up of tension. All in all really impressed so far.
