Great, I added everyone in this topic ![]()
Let me know if someone is out
Too bad there aren't any artists here, HP ![]()
lol
Btw, how was Hurg created? I think I wasn't part of this thing called mapcore when Hurg got famous.
I want to play too.
I believe that creating an event in the Steam group is the best way to we organize ourselves.
Yea, I prefer dark themes too. One of the things I like in Polycount is their dark theme, but we don't need to do exactly like that...
EDIT:
Also, I noticed that all links from the previous forum are now broken. Is there a way to fix that? I might have lots of links in my browser favorites (like the References thread) that can't open anymore.
I recently created one list with some members, but I'm pretty sure I'm missing someone (who?):
members: https://twitter.com/Al_Anselmo/mapcore/members

I made my list public, so you guys can freely subscribe to it.
Who am I missing? Message me so I can follow you!

Puddy, this looks really well done and detailed. ![]()
The trailer was really good too and let me wanting to play this campaign.
How much time of gameplay is it? ("1 to 2 hours of play time.")
Is it a solo project? (it looks like it is)
How long are you developing it?
Cheers
EDITED: striked through some questions that could be answered in the website, lol http://designedfordanger.com/
Woot!
I found this plugin in the Asset Store months ago when I was searching for something better to prototype levels, but I haven't tried it out. I'll try the demo!
It seems a lot more robust that the version I saw before.
I saved this one as wallpaper:

we should schedule a mapcore CS:GO match and play all these maps that we are creating!
Xanthi sent me the gift! ![]()
Quote from orihausIf you'll look closely you'll notice that it's on an ocean. Still working out details for the setting, but it's looking to be set on an sea of coolant/fuel/water for a massive fusion reactor in the heart of a megastructure generation ship. Looking for ways to suggest that visually!
Oh! ![]()
An ocean was my second shot... Keep up with the great work!
Oh. My. God. That is sooooooo cool!
How did you do those effects?
- Is that a scrolling texture with stripes with a strong normal map to cause distortion?
- How did you to the light flower/ flickering thing? Animated sprite too?
I have no suggestions other than maybe make more evident that this environment is in a space station (or am I wrong?).
Me and my colleagues had a forum and it had a chat widget on the sidebar. It was really fun to leave some messages or chat with anyone online.
We have our irc channel, but I believe that this integrated chat channel in Mapcore itself could be handy.
wow I was using it already and I didn't even notice.. I think that's intuitive, or I'm just a weird person ;D
There are some forums that have a special button for that and it sits next to that time log, but in my opinion that's not necessary...
WoW 2012 Edition
I think mine is:
Intelect0

I think that door in 00:08 could use some lighting to make it more evident.
And cool! Alyx is a walking lantern ;D
I like a lot the epic feel of this level. And like others said, good job with the brushwork and angled surfaces!
