the environment looks good to me, and so does the characters. some of those screens are very low res.

finished season 1 and 2 of 24, starting 3. season 2 has been the least good so far.
it's a parody / made up character. thor hammer and leia poster gave it away.
still, it's pretty great.
would get rid of flash because it's slow and the people who are viewing your portfolio might be using devices that doesn't support it (ipad/phone).
Quote from D3adsFor me Season 5 is the worst, although that's like calling out silver in a row of Gold coins...
that's the opposite of what i've heard. I started right at season 5 because people were recommending this season in particular. didn't even think I was going to like the series, but i have to admit it's some of the best television i've seen. it's 10 am here and i still haven't slept. 3 episodes to go
getting the other 7 (?) after this.
the only registered ea game i had on my email was DA2, so i guess just owning any ea game will qualify you.
Quote from Rick_Dwasn't he a member of the nazi party? and aren't those kinds of people still very common in norway? (i mean white supremacists, not crazy gunmen)
no it's not common. and no, he wasn't nazi. he disliked nazism and called it a hate ideology.
thanks to the media, we know everything he wants us to know. he's probably very happy right now.
i chose random AI for the leaders, so I don't think that is the case. you could play against any of the other leaders and they will behave in the same way (irrational and illogical). by this i mean the diplomacy trading-part, i'm aware that they behave differently strategically (like your aztec example).
it's really sad, because diplomacy should be an important part of this game.
I'm playing Civilization 5.
I'm 100 score above this Aztec leader and he tries to pull this deal:

What the fuck? What's the point of having these people even be able to make decisions like this if the AI is going to be a fucking vegetable?
edit: ended up killing him and razing his cities. his new offers didn't get much better. i don't really see how you're supposed to use diplomacy for anything good.
Quote from MazyDon't know if those reviews are based on a prescreening of the entire season or if its just the first episode. With some series it seems like they show the entire thing early to the press.
all those reviews are based on the first episode. i've not heard of season reviews unless there's a dvd or something.
just started watching 24 season 5 (this show is so intense) and new episodes of curb and breaking bad.

Zzzzzzzzzzz...
I'm trying to play L4D2 with a friend, but it's impossible. People either leave the lobby because it's not 7/8 or they ragequit 1-2min after having started. ![]()

i'm not sure I understand the problem. (right?)clicking on the vertices (the points that the shape/brush is the sum of) will make them snap to grid (you should always build on-grid). you can set the grid resolution in the lower right corner (checkbox that says 16 next to it by default, mouseover for tooltip). the grid resolution will determine to what extent you can alter the brush if you have snap to grid enabled.
i think one of the first challenges are probably learning brush operations, to understand what you can do and can't do (and why). did this work in the tutorial? or are you just experimenting? which tutorial was this?
It's sad, and strange, that considering how widely UE3 is being used, there's still no good games (that aren't +3 years old) you could map for. I was hoping Bulletstorm would be moddable, but I guess not...
Quote from 2d-chrisUDK is worth a shot too but your going to need art!
If he's just starting now, shouldn't he focus on the technical aspects of creating a level instead of the art aspect? I'd say there's more than enough assets to create something cool with the UDK assets (seir's udk level is a great example of that).
I would keep using UDK since it's the most widely used engine with a ton of documentation that goes with it (perhaps not for unrealscript. at least that's what I've heard). Of all the editors I've tried, I don't think there's any other editor I could be more effective with (despite having similar amount of experience with other tools). The usability of that editor is way beyond others in my opinion (and it's being improved every month).
I'd take a look at these video tutorials and perhaps this list could be useful (i realise the udk list part is pretty bad, i'll see if i can improve it).
