Yeah, I'm not too sure how can I fix the grass shadowing without lessening the shadow everywhere else =/.

Getting close to the end! Would love everyone's feedback:
Should I lean more towards this (I find this sells the blistering sun of midday, though is it *too* contrasted/overdone?):

Or more like this?

Enough has been said about how awesome the facial mo cap magic looks, so I'll cut right to the chase: is the main character Ken Cosgrove from "Mad Men"?
[Blocked Image: http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Galleries/Shows/M_R/Ma_Mh/MadMen/season2/mad-men-staton85.jpg]And yeah, it is =P

Yay

That was Evert, not peris

I think it looks pretty cool but the rocks look weird. I've never seen rocks like that in real life

The colors overall are pretty good, I love the palm tree! Keep it up man!
Haha, I always mistake the two cause of the little sun dude. Yeah, the rounded rock, I was a little too "fantaisiste" with that =/. The pointier ones though, I used this script: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scrip ... -generator

Yeah, when I was looking at it before bed last night, that was was bothering me too, I'll tweak the color of the grass!
And peris, do you think it might be the fog and its color I have going on? I've got some distance/heigt based fog + some slight DoF for the BG.

Little scene I'm working on in UDK for a contract! It's my first scene ever in UDK, so, any tips or feedback would be great. Still the plane left to texture, and then doing the final lighting (to add contrast in the jungle especially) and post-processing tweaks at the end.
Oh and should I be doing something special for my grass? The dark shaded parts make it look kind of meh (they're currently placed with a deco layer).

Looking forward to seeing how it tie's into the first game. Think the other video talked about one of the characters. Crysis is such a great game beyond the graphics.
Yeah...after that cliffhanger ending, they better answer some things =(. Prophet!!
And it's good to hear this:

":2lddheu5]Mirror's edge was one of the most original titles of the latest years for me. But obviously, there's no killstreacks, coronel super duper promotions and tango downs therefor, canned.
Sad to see this series go =(.
I think it came down more to the timing of the release more than anything else. They lumped it in along with all the other holiday heavy hitter games that year. Having released it in the summer or the spring, I think it would have made a bigger impact (games like Batman: AA come to mind). Also, I think for new risky IPs such as this, they shouldn't be charging full price, they should go with something closer to 39.99$/49.99$, it would create a better incentive for people to buy it I think? Though true, the fact that it was an first-person game, a lot of people were like why doesn't it control like an FPS, why do the guns suck, but they miss the point of the game completely?!? Hell, even my game design teacher last semester was railing on the game, because ME changed the "standard" FPS control scheme. I mean, how can you innovate if you keep yourself bounded by those "standard" controls =/.

Damn, the whole game is leaked

Fuck yeah! Well deserved to be on Steam, looking forward to it!

If you already have 20 friends though, that's the max limit you can have hah. Can't add anymore than that.

QuoteUbisoft have just confirmed another Call Of Juarez (the cowboy FPS series from Techland) game, this time called The Cartel. Here’s what they say about it: “Call of Juarez The Cartel is set in present-day and brings the best elements of the Wild West to a new and modern setting. As a first person shooter with an immersive and mature story, players can expect to embark on a journey like no other – one that will take them from the heart of modern day Los Angeles, California to Juarez, Mexico.”It will also have a “gritty and relevant plot”, and it will be out this summer. I also hear Ubi preview events a-callin’, so proper details shouldn’t be too far away.
Bit of an odd choice I must say, but I'll wait and see. I quite enjoyed the two last games.
