Pre-ordered. Can't wait! ![]()
The first season of Game of Thrones, damn awesome! Got me glued to the screen, watched it all in one weekend and I'm usually no sucker for series.
Almost like watching a very very long movie! Looking forward to season2!

(Ho, I have never player a Battlefield game before)
That is ridiculous. Have you ever read a ToS or EULA before? That's standard practise for MMO's and the like to cover themselves in incase you violate their terms and they have to delete/ban your account. Just so they don't have unwanted lawsuits. Not to be the bad guys.
Just look at Steam:
Quote...Valve hereby grants, and you accept, a limited, terminable, non-exclusive license and right to use the Software for your personal use in accordance with this Agreement and the Subscription Terms...
Quote...Valve may terminate your Account or a particular Subscription for any conduct or activity that Valve believes is illegal, constitutes a Cheat, or which otherwise negatively affects the enjoyment of Steam by other Subscribers. You acknowledge that Valve is not required to provide you notice before terminating your Subscriptions(s) and/or Account, but it may choose to do so...
And yes, I might be biased but the heck... That's overreacting right there.
The 2 year thing might be a bit weird, but it's doubtful they'll enforce it.
Quote from skdrIs it just me or do those jets look slow as hell?
That's always the case when you're looking at things, same with looking at Burnout for instance.
But when you play it, it feels much faster.
Did any of you watch the gamescom live conference? They showed off Coop
(Which is what I've been helping with) They're supposed to post it on youtube as well, I'll link later.
Quote from xfckup.even applied to Crytek or Irrational Games but never got a reply, so i won'teven try to apply to Dice...
I almost didn't apply to Dice as well, but then I did and guess where I ended up...
So a note for the future: The sky's the limit. What's the worst thing that could happen by applying?
Gratz on the job man, that's a great opportunity!
Quote from PuddyAnd when it comes to the tone and feel, I think they've nailed it pretty well. It's supposed to look cold and harsh. When you say "beautiful and lush" I think of FarCry 1/3 style environments. You live in Sweden bro, you know how it really is
Can't wait tbh!!!
Well... I'm kind of a fantasy sucker so take what I say with a pinch of salt
Time will tell!
Boring forest is boring.
I'm sure the artists all are talented and can make great assets, but where the hell is the art director, people that look over the overall composition 'n stuff? Isn't it supposed to look lush and beautiful? That does not look like a jaw dropping environment at all. Perhaps they're just not showing the right pictures.
If it didn't have the name Elder Scrolls slapped on it or I wouldn't have seen gameplay vids and know that the world is gigantic and all... I would definitely not be interested. Exploration is sort of unrewarding if there's nothing to discover.
Still can't wait though, hoping it to be the next big thing after Oblivion since I liked that a lot.
Beat Limbo as well. Indeed, it's a bit vague... But the gameplay/ level design is super good
Definitely not disappointing. And the atmosphere was enough to keep me going so meh.

There's a lot of people blogging like that, with fake personalities.
But then again... His face is really, really red...
Gotta be a top notch actor.
They better still have surfing!!! ![]()
And... Oh yes, I definitely want a new Counter Strike ![]()
Limbo! Played it at a friends house and really liked it.
I really wanted to go, but with this crunch... It ain't gonna happen ![]()
Hopefully next year though!
Was featured on Kotaku and now here as well so couldn't resist ![]()
You don't need HL2 installed to be able to play btw.
Pretty amazing if you ask me.
QuoteLoved replaying it to see all the different, hmm... well not endings, but paths
Quote from SkjalgIm halfway through the talk and I find this super interesting. I like how he is basically skirting around the idea that we should maybe select the graphic settings we want to use before we start downloading the game, because if we want to run high texture resolution, the game will be twice as big. Whereas on my craptop, which doesn't have the hard drive space, speed or ram to handle the amounts of texture, I could get away with downloading a game that was half the size and therefor more optimized for my low-end hardware.
The RTS Battleforge has an option like that for hi-res textures. If you don't use the setting, you can just get rid of that stuff
Would be nice if they did that stuff in more games though. 13gigs for a game I can barely run
Really need a better laptop!
Damn, that's jaw dropping man.
How long did it take you?
Btw, show us some wires! I want to see your edgeflow ![]()
Quote from wilcoJust a mashup from my favourite bits of other people's logos so far, with a few suble added tweaks[Blocked Image: http://www.joeangus.com/images/core4.png]
I like these, the others are too... stiff, corporate. I don't want to step on anybody's toes or anything but yeah, that's what I feel ![]()
They're well designed obviously, but yeah...
Looking forward to what else you come up with though, Thurnip!
This thread is full of awesome, very cool that so much people are involved.
So what about the workflow then? Ditch everything we know? Make new engines from scratch again?
Gonna stand at the sideline and see what happens, looks interesting though. But can we really just convert everything from poly to atom and be done with it?

QuoteCoop Norway has announced it is to stop carrying 51 gaming brands and toys previously available to customers, after the horrific events in Oslo and on Utøya, including games CoD4: Modern Warfare and World of Warcraft – titles which the perpetrator Anders Behring Breivik claims to have actively played.
Sad...
