I only played in the first playtest. Looking forward to the next one though, seems like a lot has changed! ![]()
Reminds me of an event I took part in in some crappy free MMO about 8 years ago. Crazy they have these problems for a high profile game.
So yeah, hmmm... Can't really wrap my head around what this game offers yet. I really liked Runes of Magic (at least certain parts of it) for how they managed to involve the low level players. Each small area had a big boss/dungeon that all events led up to and you usually could collect armor sets from said dungeons. It was perfect to engage the noobsies. Right now I felt that was lacking and that I was just killing rats for god knows why... ![]()
Either way, there's no subscription so I might as well just buy it after I complete these single player games I have laying around.
Anyone still playing this? I had a trial key to play this weekend so I played for 3-ish hours. It was pretty fun but I'm not sure I'm gonna buy it yet, it felt like it was gonna feel old fast... Either I've been playing all wrong or there were hardly any instances?
I just wanted to team up, do a low lvl dungeon and get a first armor set or something. I love doing that but alas... kinda was hoping it would kick of faster or steer me in the right direction (I love more linear MMO's, start hating on me xD).
Aight thx for the clarity guys ![]()
But then people trade in those steam keys and you get that same steam key afterwards? Meaning you just lost the publisher a sale... Which, needless to say, hurts the industry. Or is this not how it works after all?

Oh look at that, 35% off.
I was wondering why they were able to sell games so cheap, apparently they're 2nd-hand digital games? Will not be supporting that system and will get it full price from Steam instead...
Awesome thx! I've been wanting a 3D version of this for a while ![]()

Me so ronery on Halo 4, add me! ![]()
What if... there's a cube inside the cube? And that cube is procedural as well meaning the cycle keeps on going forever... "Look guys, I totally wasted your time. The things you do for curiosity, lolz!" And the picture on that cube must be a facepalm.
I'm actually really curious what's inside, well played Molyneux, well played sir ![]()
@HP You basically double posted what's been said on the previous page ![]()

Rewatching Lord of the Rings again in preparation for The Hobbit
First movie done, gonna check out the rest over 2 days. Damn they're good, music and everything! It aged rather well.
Finished it in 9 hours on Heroic. Pretty cool
Time for multiplayer and legendary!
About that "megaserver"... Does that mean every time I log in I will just have random people around me? Cos that's a dealbreaker for me. I usually don't join a guild, sometimes I play with friends but I love being part of the world I'm in, meaning... If I level up somewhere I see the same people around me. "Oh yeah that guy was leveling here yesterday with me, he healed me when I had a big group of mobs behind me..." That sorta stuff. Being in random instances all the time sucks.

I don't really like literal remakes, I find them a waste of time. A reimagining on the other hand can be pretty cool! If you're not gonna change/improve anything, why make it at all! (Well ok the graphics have improved...)
Very one sided article. Some people don't even play with sound and couldn't care less about "the experience", they just want more score, etc...
It's an interesting article but there's not one way to design games and there's not one way of enjoying it, everyone likes different things.
Also... It's not a surprise at all, it's a well know fact and that's why there's "hero" moments or "breathers" just to enjoy the scenery in games.
What's important to know is that without those gameplay sections the special moments mentioned in the article wouldn't stand out at all.
Quote from Seldoon182Agreed. An OS exclusive game isn't that good for business imao.
Do they really need to make a lot of profit on their own games to cover their development? I mean, they have steam as their cash cow, that's all the funding they need. That's how they're able to do all the crazy stuff that they do, right? Am i mistaken somehow. It does seem like they have a good business model though, TF2 hats and all that but even without that... wouldn't steam cover pretty much everything?
I know nothing about financing, I wish there was more information out in the open but most studio's keep their mouths shut ![]()
