Start with Flash games. Easy, simple stuff and work your way up from there.

I'm kind of curious why they shifted from that really pretty yellow/purple lighting scheme on the approach to the city to an off-whitish lighting scheme once you enter it. Are they trying to convey mood by making all of the background appear as bone-colored for the whole dead city theme?

And most players follow the same movement routines with little if any variation.

Sounds like a case of to each their own.

Most multiplayer is repetitive and unfun, Dux. If I wanted that experience, I'd play an MMO.

SP campaign is 8-10 hours long and the co-op is supposed to be about 3-4 hours. Of course I'll be replaying it a few times. One of the few games where I've got a shit-eating grin plastered across my face while playing. I

Loving every second thus far.

Welcome to the core of the maps! Digging the electric/classical fusion thingy you got going on there.
Critiques:
The intro seemed to drag out a few measures too long (or maybe there were some subtle background tracks fading in that I couldn't hear), and I kept waiting for a lead melody to pick up in the second half and take me away. Overall, very cool track and can't wait to hear more.

It was all a ploy to get you to buy indie games.

Are watches some sort of style thing? I haven't had use for one since I got a cell phone.

They probably don't use a coordinate system, but rather use velocity measurements.

The first time you get separated from The Ball, you learn to appreciate it much more moving forward. It's like a companion cube, except round and has no funny dialog about it voiced by a psychopathic AI.

Filling your walls with videogame posters means you are not getting laid enough

Or because you're getting laid too much!

if better actually meant better, I would agree. however, it's not going to get any better until they drastically change the way they're making these games (which they won't). the failures of fps cod/bf singleplayer campaigns have already been described here, so I won't add more to it. my point is just that this kind of set piece-driven design is a broken vehicle to work with, it's not going to take you anywhere no matter how hard you work with it. that's why it's such a shame to see competent developers waste their time on it.
I will admit, Bulletstorm set a bar so high on the over-the-top set-piece style campaigns that I'm doubtful it can be topped.

Were you trying to dominate the forum home page?

More about the lack of decorum some posters display than having legitimate critiques/complaints.

Damn. I hope no one ever shits on a game any of you spend 2-3 years of your life on as hardcore as you guys have in this thread.

i think he's trying to say that in pathelogical cases it could happenalso the point i was trying to raise before was basically "how should i make it less barren"
Would help if you could elaborate on the setting and perhaps put in some basic brushes to replace the buildings I'm assuming were taken out for your thesis.
If it's a heavily forested environment, it needs more trees, bushes, grass, etc.
Froyok: Have you checked out Epic's UDK forums and the UDK documentation site?

I find it tragic how much time and talent is invested into repetitive online multiplayer modes that could be spent making the single player campaign better.
