The first part of Episode 1 was awesome! Haters gonna hate.
I found most of Episode 2 to be pretty boring.
QuoteIt was cool to see the underbelly of the antlions, but they spent a good 2 hours longer than necessary in that setting.

Picked up an iPod Touch 8 gig model over the weekend. After trying out Dead Space on the iPad and checking out the Epic Citadel, I'm sold on the prospect of quality titles for mobile. ![]()
I'd recommend playing around with the various trigger settings to make it work. Might have to uncheck some of the options like "Pawn Must Overlap" etc.
What class is the actor you're trying to use to open the door? The proximity class in your trigger has to match it exactly.
Pawn works because a player actor is a pawn. An NPC would trigger it too, as an NPC is also a pawn, as are vehicles.
Select your trigger event in Kismet and set up the following:
TouchTypes -> Class Proximity Types - KActor (the default is pawn, change it to KActor)
Quote“Building levels from scratch is more difficult,” he continued, “because we have a layer system in some of the levels. I can foresee somebody modding up Wellspring and adding different characters, giving them different voice-over.”
I hope he's talking about standard layers of stuff (textures, lightmaps, AI navmesh, etc.), and not some bizarre obtuse layering system. ![]()
Also, at QuakeCon 2010, Carmack stated in his keynote that all id Software games will continue to ship with modding tools. They weren't willing to give that up as part of the merger.
That doesn't sound like Anonymous' style. They're very brazen when admitting they committed an attack.
From a color standpoint it seems more "friendly" but that repeating ribbed support shape would look menacing as hell with the right lighting. It looks kinda creepy as is - aka I like it! ![]()
I personally liked Dante's Inferno more, even if it did putter out in the content department half-way through the game. ![]()
Anyone else lose faith in humanity a little more after reading the story about gamers being more outraged at possibly losing their trophies than having their personal data stolen?
He was killed a week ago, and they waited to confirm via DNA testing before making the announcement. They also had the body as proof. Ol' Sammy Ben Layden is dead.
Love the Portal 2 map idea. Been planning on fully diving into Source just for that purpose.
Vault 113 - a short single-player I attempted to create for Fallout 3 around 2 years ago, before diving into the Unreal Engine. Due to poor planning and the editor's refusal to save any of the scripting I created for it, I had to abandon it.
Exterior - a small power station that housed a massive vault hidden underneath the surface.

Thanks for DDOS'ing the PSN, Anonymous. Really appreciate your arbitrary backlash and selective reinforcement of when you decide to enforce whatever morals you believe in at the expense of everyone else.
Finished it on Saturday. Really fun and hilarious from beginning to end. I never hit a spot that gave me brain cramps like the first game though. Guess they were keeping it easier to make it more accessible.
My favorite quote:
QuoteGLaDOS: Well, this is the part where he kills us.
Wheatley: Hello! This is the part where I kill you!

Quote from OrpheusFunny how everyone forgets that Halo was about the most ugly looking game of this century... What was I saying, I forgot.
Agreed. It looks simply horrendous.
