I was thinking a cube with 3 engine logos on it. Probably mired in copywrite issues tho

the first time in ages that i can work on my maps, and i have a broken hand
great. -
no. no its not.

Not meaning to start some kind of debate but that analogy is completely wrong. Its like Warner Bros requiring you to sign up for their own film distribution service rather than say lovefilm. Thus doubling up the places you have to store bank and personal details.

I mainly just don't want to use origin. Ill happily install it separate to steam, but every other digital platform other than steam is a big pile of steaming shit (Steam was shit for a good 2 years before they fixed stuff).

Pile of wank.

from a design point of view i think Game of crates and sector 2 were the best.
Game of crates just seemed very well balanced and quite well thought out, had nice visibility, tight corners, exposed height advantages, didnt seem to be any spot that was the best, weapon placement seemed great aswell.
Stack had 1 spawn point = disqualified no?
Sector2 again like game of crates seemed well balanced.
NOCTURNAL would of been the best if it wasnt for that imba gun at the top, great visibility and only 1 access route, making it prime camping spot.
I WISH I HAD A JOB was also great, but there weren't quite enough guns lying around. 2 shotgun and SMG spawns would of been great.
Overall I had an awesome time playing them all.
In future more playing before voting, coz it was awesome and actually allows people to see if they play as well as they may look.

yeah. so. pretty disappointed so far. So many minor issues that just add up to making an unpleasant experience. Also Ive just left that dudes apartment so im guessing im still early on but when does the game explain what the hell this has to do with Crysis 1?

Anyone know why my source scene appears lit for me, but when i upload it via svn to our server and other people view it its not lit but pitch black.
Appears to be an issue with vbct

yup i would be up for that.

":2gj6rfbr]I made a few workshops myself, but afaik it's for internal use only, but we can try and release it. But yes, a few video tuts would be awesome.
tbh if crytek really does want their engine to be commercial they need to release a more detailed wiki etc anyway. UDN is one of the reasons Unreal is THE engine the industry uses. Too many company's seem to create engines on the premise that they can sell them, without the documentation your engine isn't going anywhere.

Saboteur - I think gameplay wise its an improved mercenaries. But jesus christ the dialogue is terrible. "Fuck you arseways!"? REALLY? That doesn't even make sense for a start as its not a real expression.
-
do it chris, it would be very handy. Im gunna be attempting to make a few MP maps depending on how much work it involves in this iteration of the engine so guides on new features would be awesome.

Personally im only interested in the tools, but when I get the game I will update as I might as well. It will only make my own work look better.

Yes, it's the ESRB and if a game is rated 'M' (for mature), you have to be 17 or older to buy it. If you're not, you need your parent there to buy it. It works just fine, there's no need for state regulation and control on what game is or isn't violent and then banning minors from buying the game.EDIT: http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_guide.jsp
Sound to me like they just needed to use the ESRB's rating to decide if a game was violent, thats how its done in the UK. Twiz is right about that internet comment though.
-
dont you have a ratings system? surely 18 = violent.
-
I mean I can't purchase it on steam. I need to purchase it seperately and then activate it right.

I can't get this on steam can I.
