Quote from PogoP
Started on a new scene a while ago, been working on it on and off the past few weeks or so.. Wanted to try and tackle a scene and texture everything entirely using Substance Designer. We use it a lot at work and I've been getting my own set-up sorted at home. This software is just so powerful, it's really blown me away. Nothing in the scene so far is textured in Photoshop.
5 points if you guess the game, shouldn't be too hard here on Mapcore

Looks nice and big for a flat. I am going to be looking some time soonish (next year). Don't think I will be getting that much space though.
-
its been getting very good reviews.

Old school fanboy, still loved FO3, game was great. It missed some elements that made the originals amazing, but it isn't the same genre so what can you expect.
-
Looks fairly finished, but i thought that about The Forest when I first saw it and that is a buggy pos.
-
Would be nice.

Not a hoax but someone doing a portfolio piece that someone has taken and presented as something.
-
Saw the kickstarter for this the other day looks promising, the UI/menu elements already look very polished, unfortunately I don't kickstart games, good luck though.
-
Yeah, my ears are fucking bleeding.
Who the fuck thought that noise would be a good idea.
-
Might as well kick the bucket already.

Sanctioned, quality control, held responsible. Those are the differences, I am amazed some of you are still defending this terrible system. It is so unbelievably anti consumer.
-
Sounds interesting, so there will be a hub that the player can access then?
That what is the difference between fps games is a bad argument and a none started, a lot is different between most shooters. Guns, the way you move, enemy archetypes,, level design, aesthetic, mechanics, etc.
Currently a lot of the things in that video are like for like with Legend of Grimrock, the doors, the levels, the floor trap, the aesthetic. I don't have a problem with people making similar games, but it is a valid question and you should be ready to get a lot of comments like it.
-
What will distinguish this from legend of grimrock?
-
Shawn you are mixing up paying creators and charging consumers, they aren't exclusive. You should know, Valves map packs don't charge consumers playing the maps, but creators still get payed.
-
I'm fairly sure people were saying that about Greenlight before it launched, now we have the store crammed with clones, early access titles and garbage games all going for the low low price of £15.

Every single good (or near enough) mod will be on sale within a month, that isn't modding that is community content. Not the same thing.
