let me clarify. I'm in no way demanding updates, I'm just worried. Worried that this is another Nightwatch. I remember people saying they were working on NW and it was going to be finished up until the day they werent and NW was just shot down.
I wasn't referring to your type of post when I agreed previously. More like the types who are overtly negative. Trolls essentially

playing Civ5. Good game, the turn system took a little getting used to but I like that I can set city plans while the opponents are taking their turn.
I'm still crack addicted to League of Legends, I really need to go cold turkey and uninstall that game, it's too addictive.

those games are all way too normal

rosetta stone is having a game jam? weird
I have some advice. Do ALL your coding in the first 24 hours, then do the art. Use rough or placeholders in the meantime. After a day of no sleep you will be coding at a disadvantage.
Also I know this is obvious but keep the scope low. I tried to keep it low and still ended up trying to code a stealth AI mechanic on my entry to Ludum Dare. It worked but it didn't work wonderfully. Having fewer features that work wonderfully is better than many that work barely and this is highly reflected in peer judgement,
Good luck

Hi, these are some WIP shots of a Quake 1 map / mod; textures by Quake Retexturing Project. The goal of the mod is to be a somewhat faithful, but modernized remake of the entire Quake 1, for example the maps have a lot of new areas and there is heaps of new gamecode and monsters etc. We've been at it with a team of crazies since 2007. The engine is a pimped-out version of the Quake engine with a much faster renderer etc.Due to the nature of the thing, it's mainly indoor stuff, but I'm trying to break out of that recently (really WIP):

Slightly older shots of the rest of the project:

I know this isn't Crysis, but it's still mapping

Awesome! So glad to see there are those still working on quake (and doom).

I agree, I'm really not interested in these types of games on a phone. Or even a portable game system.

There is an NDK, but from the google description, it's used along with the SDK. It sounds like he could do the performance critical parts in native code. Cool.

Android huh?
So he's going to implement Rage in Java?

lol, I showed both screens to some people outside this board and they all think the purple lighting is better too.
I'm alone on this one but I still kind of think if you desaturated the yellow it would look nice

awesome 3dnj!
I think I prefer the earlier more desert-like lighting though
