Took me a few days to figure out why my twitter was blowing up with Ryse tweets. This was a funny retort [Blocked Image: http://kwout.com/cutout/9/nb/vn/ife_bor.jpg]

Number 2 on my list is the Ghost 'N Goblins franchise. I have them all on the NES/SNES/Genesis and PSP. Oh, and even Maximo on the PS2. Too bad Capcom totally forgot about it and they cancelled the online version, which looked pretty promising btw.

Oh my god I just lost my long weekend to Xcom. That game is insanely addictive.

This thread probably has the highest ratio of likes I've given out.
I'd love to see quakeworld with modern graphics. Next to nothing changed, just a modern quakeworld with extra stuff built around the community like ingame server browser, ingame clan organization etc... Kind of like how DOTA2 handles it.
Other than that
Chrono Trigger or similar game made by the original dream team
Star Control 2 (3 and 4 dont count)

Just played through it. Very nice.
Maybe if MS isnt playing ball you might consider giving playstation mobile a shot? Monogame has support for it (2D). Although I'm not sure if they support RenderTarget2D right now so if you use that it might be an issue.

Reminds me of the XBox1 thing where they said the system would be something like X times more powerful using the cloud.
Anyways I'm highly skeptical of this method. Even if you entirely rule out any latency concerns there are hardware cost concerns and bandwidth cost concerns. I notice on that demo they say the server is running a Titan. Imagine a game required at least that for offline rendering. Now the publisher has to buy enough titans to support all concurrent players. At the very worst that's like buying a 900$ piece of hardware for someone who bought a 50$ game.
Of course in reality not everyone would be playing the console at the same time but the costs associated with rendering hardware and bandwidth make me wonder what company would want to do this.
Anyways all that is irrelevant if they are recomputing radiance every frame. 200msec is a lifetime compared how long it would take to transfer data across a local bus.

Cool, look forward to trying it this weekend.
What do you mean the XBLIG version was stopped by MSes website?
-
Maybe this time I'll make it by those brutally annoying insects. Which I believe show up in the first 2 mins.
-
yeah I repeatedly bought troika games because I liked them so much. I thought I could single handedly keep the company from going under apparently.
-
Wow I cant wait to play mario and street fighter on that.
It seems like they were trying to fix FPS and 3rd person on a gamepad. As long as they allow traditional dpad capable controllers and joysticks I'm cool. If not I'm gonna punch valve in the dick.

two people behind me asked if it was a real photo. Kudos

That's true it's not quite as good as the xfiles but it's one of the best in the science-reality fictiony genre.
Then again I was really into Sliders and the new Outer Limits

Edit: Also season 8 of xfiles is brutal, not a good place to start.

Watching the TV show Fringe. Surprisingly good if you like stuff like the xfiles

Oh thank god. I thought I was high.

I'm now going to school fulltime, working parttime and trying to get a small business going. It got to the point where there werent enough hours in the day and I was so low on energy halfway through the day I might as well not be working.
In the last month I've been waking up at 4:45am every day, have had vastly improved brain function and am rarely tired. I've actually sometimes so focused I feel like I'm on amphetamines or something. I've also lost about 5lb a week (when I came back from Japan I had gained about 30lb) for the last few weeks.
Anyways these are the changes I made to my lifestyle
- No soda or juice, usually just filtered water
- One coffee a day at 5am that is blended with coconut oil
- Breakfast consists of almonds and some protein around 8am when I arrive at school as well as around 6000 IU of Vitamin d3
- throughout the day I have water and almonds
- lunch consists of complex carbs and protein. Something like a really dark rye with salami or tuna
- 20 mins cardio a day at least
- 7 min workout about once every other day http://www.7-min.com/
- Dinners consist of protein and fiber but few carbs (say wild salmon, broccoli and spinach)
- Magnesium supplement at night
- I switched from using regular butter and mayo to grassfed butter (nutritionally completely different from regular butter)
Like I said one of the best benefits is that throughout the day my mind feels focused and I can work fairly steadily. The reduction in shitty carbs and increase in good fat consumption (coconut oil, salmon) really makes a huge difference. Good fats seem to make all the difference.
During the times where I worked on contracts from home I would do a form of polyphasic sleeping where I would sleep at night for about 4 hours then take 2 1 hour naps during the day. Once you get into the cycle it really helps get you into the good sleep quickly. My programming output goes up like 200-300% and the code quality is way higher. The downside is I will pretty much get knocked out when it's time to sleep so it kills my social life.

History of Nintendo focusing on what they did before they made video games.
Great shitter read, everything is broken into small sections and is really interesting.
There's a great part about how the president (yamauchi) invested in Japanese love hotels. They lost a ton of money but a bunch of newspapers said with the amount of money he spends taking women to love hotels it might have actually SAVED Nintendo money.
tldr : the president of Nintendo was a manslut

I don't understand the layoffs either, they seemed completely arbitrary? Either way, good luck finding new gigs. Though, echoing others in this thread, it probably won't be a problem for any of you =)
Not sure about other countries but it makes financial sense for the companies to only hire for short periods in BC Canada so they don't incur long term costs of retaining an employee (benefits etc). In fact a lot of employees here are technically consultants.
It's like the film industry only we dont have a decent game union that ensures if work is temporary the pay is high enough to survive through the dry seasons.

Boner factory?

Awesome Porco Rosso stuff! That looks like it would be a blast to play on the rift. Man I cant wait until the next gen rift comes out. At that point I'm most likely buying.

Looks great. The painting style reminds me of something but I cant put my finger on it.
My main suggestion would to be too add more turbidity to the second wave of water because the front portion looks a little flat.
