Anyone played knack yet?
Some show called Happy Endings on Netflix.
It's ok, everyone acts a little too goofy and happy. I feel like I'm going to get diabetes watching it.
Kind of a good show when you are doing busywork on the laptop in the background.
Never even heard of this diretide thing before. Is this a separate game mode or is it part of the main game for a period of time?
The new characters look cool. Begging for an all spirit team ![]()
Not a fan of polygon mainly because they have a couple corporate shills working for them (or they could be genuinely stupid I suppose) and will tow the line of their backers before caring about the consumer. If you look where they get a lot of their money when they launched it gets a little shady (750k from microsoft).
Anyways sony stock has gone up about 2$ in the last 24 hrs ![]()

I agree. At the end of the day which console is better is whichever has the best exclusive games in my opinion.
8.5/10 post right there, Thrik. Well done!
I agree ![]()
Maybe the R needs its left line still?
Anyways I tried the game yesterday. I think there was a little acceleration on the movement. If so I would reduce the time to reach full speed so it feels a bit more responsive.
Interesting. One of the MS CEO candidates wants to sell off the xbox business. That would be interesting if he took over and actually went through with it so early in the product lifecycle.
Quote from ThurnipYeah, maybe is behind vita... but i think nintendo usually chooses a good balance between graphics, battery and gameplay.
I have an PSP and the battery is way behind Nintendo DS and even 3DS.
Vita's battery is short too, i've heard.
Unfortunately, imo, sony didn't catch how to make a good hand held experience.
Vita isn't so bad. I havent noticed any different between it and my DS's. They both average around 4-6 hours.
I can imagine the PSP is bad though because it has a physical disk drive.
Quote from Thurniptotally agree! in fact, the biggest use of my PSP was playing GBA emulator and searching for hidden gems
and so i think PSP (probably vita) games not that cool to play on a portable device. The play sessions usually are too long, IMO.
GBA was a cool system with amazing games. Yet today i play a some GBA games on my DS Lite.
the 3ds is a great system too. Im playing a lot lately. there's good games for the system
That's a good point about the session length of the game. I think that's currently a big issue for the Vita. With it's quick suspend/unsuspend it would be great to have a bunch of arcade classic I can play in 5 min spans between daily affairs. I'm working on a game right now for the vita to try to satisfy that urge a little bit actually. Although I think I'm using a graphics feature that wont work on vita currently.
Agree on the 4k thing.
The fact that phone companies are starting to work on 4k phones is ridiculous. A reduction in battery life for a resolution almost no one is going to be able to discern. I don't even care about 4k on my 52 inch TV. I would rather have a 1080p 60fps world with say (pulling this out of my ass) 4X the detail than a 4k environment without the details.
My video card isnt good enough to play the game. ATI 4800 or something. Maybe 5 years old now.
It's funny the only modern FPS I can get a good framerate on outside of source engine games is Rage.
I have this thing where when I'm in school I play LoL and when I'm working I play dota2.
So if you are playing LoL hit me up. My username is ShinobiNFC
EDIT: Is Europe and NA on the same server?

Awesome book about the street fighter and competitive gaming scene with an modern interpretation of Sun Tzu's art of war as it applies to competitive gaming.
Good overall book when it comes to the mindset of an individual who is determined to be the best in their field.
Quote from [HP]That's awesome!
I've always been curious on how to buy stocks, got any beginners advice?
I don't trade regularly so I'm probably not the best person to ask. If you just want to be able to start buying stocks it's probably a good route to use your bank via direct investment account. From there they should have an interface to trade stocks. Since it's from the same bank you can usually look at it as another account, transfer money from your savings and buy stock with it. After that you can consider a third party vendor, they usually have lower per-trade prices but there are issues with how fast they execute trades and stuff like you only really pay low if you do a lot of trading (100 trades a month).
Outside of the basic rules and terminology this is the only hot tip I know:
If you are in Canada and if you havent already used a TFSAA then make a bank trading account with that status. It lets you make up to 25000$ plus 5000$ a year without paying tax on it. Of course if you lose money you can't claim losses to reduce your final considered income.
Reminds me of Magic Sword
Well I mentioned it beore but I went through with it
I bought 1600$ of sony stock. The deal is if I make enough, I'll buy a PS4. If I lose money I'll have to sell myself or something.
Put a little bit in AMD too.
Quote from [HP]After me, of course.
You should play with us so we can have someone to soak up all the blame and anger ![]()
Quote from SjonssonI know this thread has been dead for a while but these news made me post it here anyway, they are throwing around the gameplay a lot in a coming patch.
Sorry for the double post I posted then couldnt figure out how to edit/multiquote
Anyways some comments on the patch:
1) The buyback penalty seems brutal. You dont gain gold from creeps/neutrals until the actual time you would have been dead passes AND they add 25% to your next death. Is that to make turnarounds easier?
2) Is denied experience considered negative experience?
3)Interesting to see how the new day/night cycle affects night stalker. My guess is positively
4) I like the random roshan. I really didnt like the aspect of exact timing for major creeps
5)1000 gold for a killing spree block. I like that
Seems like they want to make a turnaround more viable with the general changes.
Quote from SenturaHere's a few points I can talk about (been playing dota since '07):
- There is a lot of "art of war" elements to the game that new people won't notice, and you can tell a lot by how the enemy heroes act in lane. If they're moving towards you, ignoring the creep line, there's a good chance they've got a friend in the woods right next to you and looking to kill. Move back ASAP.
I think you may have touched down on my favorite aspect of MOBA's with that tip. A lot of the lessons taught are directly applicable to the game.
