":23gytv6x]You should have got a PSP instead, but oh well!

I know, but the thing is this is second-hand, and the guy offered it to me at a very good price (and the console is mint), and the PSPs down here are very, very expensive!

Shiren the Wanderer sounds like fun. Added to the list.

So I just got a nintendo DS. Now I don't have a lot of time to play, so I must choose wisely the games I will actually play.

I'm looking for those that stand out, those that you can't miss. Wich ones are they?

People have recommended Advance Wars for me, and I must have Mario Kart, but other than that what else?

The list as it Stands now:

    - New Super Mario Bros

    - Super Mario 64 DS

    - Mario Kart DS

    - Brain Age 2

    - Metroid Prime Hunters

    - Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - Grimoire of the Rift

    - The Legend of Zelda

    - The Namco Museum

    - Nanostray

    - Geometry Wars Galaxies

    - Advance Wars - Dual Strike

    - Advance Wars Days of Ruin

    - Shiren the Wanderer

So what do you think of the list? Add any? Remove any?

That's where my last comment came from. I guess I should have used more smilies...

But I wonder what will be the next improvements Valve will bring to their engine to rival the latest batch of games. L4Dead proves that Source is aging, it's a great game with great visuals, but you can feel where the engine starts to feel dated.

Have you tried a really wide widescreen, or even plugging the PC to a big TV? I have a friend who has motion sicness when playing FPS games on the PC and not on the console, after I plugged his PC to the 53'' Widescreen TV on the living room he finally could play Half-Life 2 and not feel nauseated.

OMG I recieved the same e-mail and sold my soul to the devil in exchange for money to get my hands on that $20.5 million!

I hope that mine was not part of this scheme, I mean, they had an e-mail account that must be official right? If not I`ll have to send a complaint to the Internet, do you have their address? They can`t just give scammers e-mail accounts, that`s wrong!

This game`s got some sliding NPC syndrome

Npcs in my game slide everywhere, it's annoying

The game doesn't really work as an FPS, nor work as an Action title. It's an OK game if they squeeze the major bugs out (like crashing ever 10 minutes), but it certainly isn't as buggy as people claim Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Resident Evil 1 to be. The game really needs to be polished, A LOT.

It`s finally out! I have been playing the demo a lot with my brother and the other campaigns are just as good as I expected. Can`t wait for the custom "movies" to start coming out!

I have yet to play as the zombies. It brings back to me the same claustrophobic feeling of Aliens vs Predator 1!

Well I'm finally over the harcore addiction period that comes with any game and am slowly getting back to my life

Here are pictures of my first run (minor spoilers for the purists out there, nothing that hasn't been mentioned by word in the posts already)

This is my character Arthur the good natured. He is a great guy that tries to make things right in the world. And when words don't work, well, bullets usually do.

You can never get tired of Nuka grenades.

By the end of the game he had already accumulated the best gear possible, including a unique sniper rifle.

She's not so much for "fighting the good fight", as long as she can have her comfort secured, she really doesn't care about others.

She likes long walks on the wastelands, a romantic gunfight and weapons that fire more than 800 bullets per minute.

Fallout 3 is a lot easier to get into for sure. Though fallout 1 being a lot harder to get into, is a lot more rewarding I find. I'm already level 20 in Fallout 3 with enough bullets to kill everyone in the wasteland 5 times over.

I thought I was that badass in the game as well, and then I got to exploring some areas I had unexplored, especially the NW part of the map, hell, was I in for a hard fight. Had to use my stored drugs to survive, and then I got addicted to them while underground (no fast travel back home to desintoxicate) and had to strive to survive.

And I played F1 at least 3 times full-run a and a couple failed attempts. And I'm all over F3

    Edit: Speeling

That's pretty crazy because I found out about the mercs in the hotel in a totally different way. I found the location for the oasis after I overheard some raiders talking about it.

This is one thing I'm in love with about this game. Every peerson I have talked about it has had a different experience. Some find a given quest/area via exploring, others hear about it from raiders and seek it out. Every gameplay feels unique depending on where and how you go and meet and react, the world feels so alive it's insane.

I know that you have to set up compile commands in source to render alpha textures correctly if you want, I don't know how Unreal works but could there be something similar?

I've been having a hell of a lot of fun with the game and I think its very good despite what you say. And the game never crashed and I don't see that many floating NPCs or half of the bugs you guys describe.

Hell today I saw a bug. I shot a merc in the face with the shotgun and to my surprize instead of having a gory mess he just flew up a hundred yards in the air... he died from the fall moments later

Now I had a great quest this morning when I'm just scouting the ruins and I get a radio signal. Turns out there are some guys trapped in the top of a hotel surrounded by supermutants. Getting them out was fun.

The feral ghouls in the underground are scary! Jumped out of my seat a couple of times already (I know you can hear them a mile away, but you can't exactly see them and they are fast!)

Tuning on the Galaxy Radio and hearing the news about your actions is pretty damn fun. I wonder if you play a bad character the guy's oppinions will be different.

I heard about some kind of oasis on the Galaxy Radio and am headed that way, lots of exploring to do!

That angle is sweet and I think it works very well as your second option.

I'd tweak the bush closer to the camera to be more detailed and evil. Red thorns etc... And is there a reason thw shadow on that scaffolding going between the buildings is solid? Looks weird even if there is a reason (another "connection" that is hidden) so if that's the case consider moving it down or up.

But damn, you keep bringing better and better stuff each time!

Hey guys, working on the next release and following up on feedback from players. I've run in a few issues.

Any ideas on what can cause the waterfall sound to play in the spawnrooms and other areas, seemingly random? I don't get this problem on local testing, even on a different PC with another steam account. The waterfall are just Ambient_generic placed near where the player would be, and works fine for me :/

Other than that another fix I'm working on is blocking the front hangar windows with unbreakeable glass as people are complaining about snipers killing people inside their own base from the other side. I may also add doors to the intel tower 2nd and 1st floor, not too sure about that though...

As far as optmization goes, I'm tweaking my models and reducing most about 10-20% on polycount. Setting some new areaportals as well.

Feedback is much appreciated guys, I'm aiming for the next release to be close to final

Very good as usual Peris, if I may say though, I'm not getting the "evil feeling", more of an abandoned place that could be considered neutral.

I think you have to look at Silent Hill rust (the movie and 1st, 3rd game). Add some deep purple and evil colors to the plants as if they "suck the evil out of the ground", add small poisonous thorns at the leafs (I think shot#1 could show this amount of detail). Add more organic decay, more contrasted stains.

I think some fumes/smoke could work well there as well. take a look at some of the *gasp* Diablo 3 screens and concepts for some inspiration on the not so obvious "evil" (hell, add a rainbow there )

But I'm nitpicking here, it is truly amazong and has a great atmosphere, I'm just trying to bounce some ideas off so you can think on what to improve

I have just released the latest version of my map and I hope you guys like the changes. This time most of the bugs you guys found where fixed and there are also some other improvements. Check the changelog below for a list of changes:

No new pictures as the major changes are to clipping and optimization.

    Here's the list:

    - Removed the collision for the hangar cables holding the platforms

    - Added various pick-ups around the map according to the following list:

---- Large Ammo crate on the raised platform in the cave

---- Medium Ammo and Health pack on the back of each base

---- Small Ammo and Health pack in the middle of the wooden walkway in front of the cave entrance

---- Added a medium ammo pack in front of the tires outside the hangar

---- Upgraded the small ammo pack on top of the hangars to a medium one

    - Added playerclips to the edge of the cave pits to prevent "sliding" in the pits of death

    - Added playerclips to the crystal areas in the base to prevent getting stuck

    - Completely reworked the inside of the hangar so that it's less cluttered and confusing

    - Added the waterfall sounds (I removed them by accident)

    - Added playerclips to all stairs to prevent bumping

    - Added a nobuild area to the waterfall platform

    - Raised the stalagmites so you don't bump your head on them

    - Made the rocks on top of the blue hangar solid

    - Fixed the Red base skywalking

    - Tweaked the redbaron model to improve performance

    - Fixed the place behind the waterfall where a player could get stuck

    - Fixed the place by the trees where a player could get stuck

    - Added unbreakable glass to the last window of the side top row on the intel room

    - Miscellaneous graphics fixes and improvements

And you can download the map from these two mirrors:

    TF2Maps.net Forums - ctf_aerospace_b3

    FPSBANANA - ctf_aerospace_b3

Don't forget to check out the walktrough/tips&tricks PDF document about the map, explaining some of the backstory for it as well as the best strategies players have found. It's very cool check it out! You can download it here: Aerospace strategy report

Any suggestions, compliments and criticizm is welcome.
