Sweet sculpt!
I also think that his legs are a little long, looking like arms. I'd think they'd come out more from under his body instead of coming out the sides. But nice work so far! Don't go too crazy on detailing it before you ge tthe shapes in, I had to learn that the hard way

Here's something I've been working on, following Peris tutorial, but I've been having a hard time projecting a good normalmap. I finally reached a point where I feel like I'm in the right path:

The Normal map for this one, straight out of max and in dire need of fixing: http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75 ... all003.jpg

Quote from Sentura
awesome, i dig the style
Quote from Jenn0_BingI love it, tells a nice story. I might be reading it wrong though, but the piece he's putting glue on in the last frame is way too big for the rest of the pot.
Thanks
you are reading it right, updated the post above with a revised version. -
I've edited the post to include the new version with a few final youches:

HP knows his Crytek's

The pebbles may not be a physical impediment (the player can easily walk past over them) but they break up the sense of it being a path. Imagine if you build a bridge there, people use this path quite regularly, and the pebbles would have been thrown to the sides by then. Even if not, it just helps the composition better to have a clean path for the player's eyes to follow.
I've taken the liberty of illustrating the effect:

Wouldn't it be better to use a Geosphere for the dome part?
-
maybe use 2 bend modifiers at 90 degrees, the second rotated 90º to the side.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the compliments!
I'm quite happy with the results so far.
HP, that's very helpful thanks, I'll try to get it closer to your suggestion!
Peris, I just checked on Max and indeed they are very close to each other (like siamese twins) I really want the second head in there though, I really liked how the light affects both of them. Maybe I'll push it a little bit more into the BG. The biggest problem I have is that I only modelled the head with a short neck, and at this stage I really don't want to go back and model more of the body.
Again, thanks a lot guys!
Oh, and btw, it's not a raptor, it's a Deynonichus (whatever the difference is...):

Those are really cool!
I also think the debries are a little off, looks too smooth and unnatural.
I'm calling this little project done.

I'm not entirely happy with the vegetation, but the models against a black background where looking kinda silly... maybe someday I'll have a proper scene for a dinossaur head.

Really cool, I think the inside of the mouth needs the most work now

Thanks!
I'll start to set up materials for a good render. For now, realtime:

Yeah, I did that but I had to rush it so some of the areas were left intact. it's the downside of using lot's of flotaters. The normal maps comes out clean, but one must do lot's of clean up on the AO map.
Could you elaborate on that?

I actually lol'd by the end

Yes, actually what happened there is that I deleted the Cockpit and exposed the mesh within that was simply the engine. but I liked the result a lot.
I'm not sure though because I was trying to loosely follow my reference image... even though it is an open concept and I have already changed a lot of the details, changing the cockpit is a wide step away from the original.

Really nice interview with David Cage. He's got some great insight into innovation is games and the success of Heavy rain is a testament that we can try new things other than power-based gameplay.

Had a little progress on the ship. Decided to change the design a bit.
