That is pretty amazing! I can't imagine the trouble you went through to get all that iron though ![]()
Quote from e-freakam i the only one not understanding what this game is all aboat? havent played it yet but these screenshots and videos certainly dont look very explanatory either...
Think of it as a big sandbox with interesting systems. The game is still in alpha but it shows so much potential!
Here is a sneak peek of what I did today, I actuallt finished it, but it's too late to record a video today... I'll post the results tomorrow:
Just showing off my little settlement. (bonus points for hearing my accent)
This would be so much fun with a structured multiplayer implementation. You could have territory flags that you drop on the ground and create a zone that is your territory. You could then set permissions and make your territory grow by building, exploring and gathering resources. You could then absorb neighboor terrirories and create a small kingdom \o/ rivalling kingdoms would fight both economically (trying to overlap their boundaries) as well as military (there could be restrictions for being on enemy territory, kinda like the attrition works on Rise of Nations).
I definitely feel more immersed and involved in the PC, especially for FPS games. On top of mouse/keyboard you get to play with headphones and on a more sitting position.
Back on topic I recommended this to my brother who loves horror games such as this and he's having a blast!
I agree with Hourences, it's so relaxing and plain simple that it has a depth hard to achieve when you litter the gameplay with a lot of options and systems *cough* spore *cough*
I love exploring and can't wait to have survival multiplayer.
For anyone interested, a good "realism" server has been but up by DJive from TF2Maps, to get the server info you need to register at playstuff and ask to be included in the server whitelist (this game is sooo open to griefing right now): http://playstuff.net/forumdisplay.php/113-Minecraft
I didn't post it before because I already boosted your ego enough on chat.
But DAMN that's hot stuff man, really good work.
MOAR!!!
Damn... RIP.
Shocking story, going to play Company of Heroes in your memory, the best I can do.
Playing Resident Evil V on the PC, a very successfull port and I am having a blast playing it: Co-op is so good I think I'll never enjoy any SP game as much I used to!
Bioshock Infinite
It'll have endless procedurally generated levels.

Yeah I'm working on it, this is already better:
Yeah that's true. Each engine will have it's own way of working and it really ends up on a case by case basis I think.
Here's the promised walk cycle, not as hot as I expected, still pretty good.
Yep, gonna call this one finished and move on to the next project.
Ok, maybe I'll make a walk/run cycle for him, maybe ![]()

Thanks man!
Yeah I know he's all messed up, but I rather go all the way and finish this one to start another instead of going back. I'll definatelly take on someting simples though, like a simple human figure like the one you posted. Monsters are hard for someone with no experience ![]()
I did try to "unstrech" him horizontally a bit to try and give him a slender figure, as well as moving some polys around to try and have a better definition of his muscles. Hopefully it didn't end up that bad.
But I'm going all the way with this one so I can learn the pipeline and be better prepared to fix problems early on with my next one. Here's the final state of his textures, rendered with Xoulishader in Max Viewport:

He also has a glowmap at 128x128, and the final normalmap has his eye properly projected as well.
I'm workin g on his rig now, almost done, just having a bit of trouble finding a good methog to animate his hands.

Oh I have redone his UVW coordinates to have more resolution overall (I planned to have his face not symetrical, but tossed the idea away)
Here is the current progress:

Yes it's all in Unity 3. They really have a great grasp of the engine, and I was impressed by what I saw there in terms of graphical power and performance.
I'm leaving Ubisoft and joining Aquiris for their next project. They are a small developer who grew up with advergames and are now making the leap to entertainment games. Hint -> http://vimeo.com/channels/aquiris
Quote from GloglebagHe has no right ear I'm afraid, because I fucked up and then Zbrush fucked up.
Quite nice!
For the Symmetry problem, mask the areas you want mirrored and then hit the Smart Resym button under Deformation tab. Go from the lowest subdiv to the highest unless you want to kill your PC.
Amazing guys! Pre-purchase for me!
