Yeah its ok, its been public and circulating for quite some time I just took the liberty to translate the info to english. I'll hide it for now though since I guess that will be the impression most people will get when seeing it!

    Awesome man!

Perhaps add little spacers between the images in your galleries, in my big monitor it looked kinda funky, but maybe it works, I found it hard to concentrate on a single shot as they all kinda meshed together.

    Hi guys!

I'm taking the time between projects to try and keep my stuff updated. I've removed a bunch of old 3D crap I had and included the last few projects I worked on.

To do list is to standarize and add watermarks to all images.

Since I use Carbonmade I don't have a lot of freedom on the layout or navigation, but I find it's pretty good from the get-go. I'm already setting up my own DNS so I don't need the carbonmade tag.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance

Deepest respect for anyone that risks their life to try and save another, and even greatest honors to those that are mostly certain of not making it back.

":3i88jswc]In my humble and personal opinion, when you place the negatives and positives side by side, working in the games industry is probably better. (Bear in mind though, and I gonna repeat this, I don't know much about how's it like, and how the pay is in the movies industry)Games industry is still growing, so if your working on it, it's also up to you to help it shape up into a better industry, whereas I doubt you'd have that chance in the movies industry where everything is so set on stone.

I also get this sentiment. I feel like I can make, even if in a tiny small scale, a difference in the future of the games industry due to its infancy. Be it a small company or a big one.

I edited the topic for clarity's sake.

What I wanted to discuss is exactly what HP and Deceiver are on about: For the average artist, what are the pros and cons of seeking a career in the games industry opposed to the movies and films industry.

The point of games bringing in more profit than movies is already widely discussed and we all agree that games at this moment are faring better.

    Hi guys!

So this is a discussion I was having with a friend of mine about the following subject: Is the videogames industry as big as the movie and films industry?

Now, I know that some games out budget many Hollywood productions, and I know that some companies like Ubisoft and EA are like large sprawling empires of employees on many different countries. But I get the feeling that, at least for artists and even tool programmers, the movie and film industry offers better opportunities, better paychecks and more security than a game career.

I'm confident that the movie and films industry (named like this to include CG advertising and CG for documentaries) is bigger than the whole of the games industry (including consoles and PC hardware).

The thing is, knowing a lot of people that work on movies, the sentiment is the contrary, and they perceive the games industry as much bigger and more friendly than theirs!

    Thoughts?

You can list me as Game designer now.

I'm officially taking on the entire design department of our "not so little anymore" company. It's been a crazy ride and I can feel the difference from doing to managing, but it's been a fun and enjoyable ride so far.

Who knows I might get the itches and do some more actual levels on my free time now?

Consider me impressed. If they could find a way to do away with the stick controls and get the fast turning speed of mice on this thing it would be awesome. The precision and responsiveness seemed incredible though.

    Also... exclusive portal 2 levels????

I also wonder if something like this could be used to speed up 3D modelling...

Not to mention that I had to fill in a bunch of paperwork using a typewriter. They wouldn't take a printed copy of a word document, it had to be typed in.

Anyway, I'm looking in some other options, but if I can't I'll drop you a line Frie, thanks
