I'm currently playing They Bleed Pixels. I'm at the fourth level, the game was already pretty hard but holy freaking shit son, this one is INSANELY HARD GODDAMN. I love this game.

I picked up the Hitman collection, Torchlight 2 and Mark of the Ninja today. I spent 4 hours on the latter and I really like it so far, even if the checkpoint system is really annoying, especially when your game focuses on stealth.

So, we all ded now?

Bleh I spent most of the penultimate day before destruction sleeping and dreaming of moist vaginas. Damn you Mapcore.

-
Wish I could get laid.

I absolutely love the looks of your second map, Left Behind. It's very cool looking with nice use of subtle color. I don't really follow Quake Live since I've always found base Q3/QL to be awfully slow compared to QW/CPMA, but congrats on getting your maps included with it!

Well there's still War for the Overworld: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/subte…r-the-overworld

Very nice! The last time I heard of this project was several months ago on the UWE boards, I'm glad to see progress has been made. Hera was one of my favorite NS maps, so I'm pretty pumped for this one.

LMNO had a couple of really amazing developers such as Doug Church and Randy Smith too if I'm not mistaken. I'd really like an Arx Fatalis 2 though, now that Dishonored is released. One can dream.

-
Yeah, you can definitely tell some elements were used in Dishonored.
-
Well I have a crap rig and can only run the game in 800*600 with everything either on low or deactivated, but I really like the game. I just cannot play Aliens with that resolution though, so I play Marines.

Looking Glass Studios' Deep Cover was a blend of Thief and System Shock set during the Cold War, in which you assumed the role of a spy with a ton of gadgets. It involved stealth and other cool things. Unfortunately, after LGS closed down the project was cancelled. No One Lives Forever is maybe the closest thing to Deep Cover.
-
Very nice, it reminds me of the shifts to the Otherworld in Silent Hill, albeit faster.
-
Well you know, I make maps for Thief which was released in 1998 and I love it.

I wouldn't mind trying to make something with your mod once everything gets released, I really dig the concept and it plays really well.

Indeed! This is what I wrote on func_msgboard:
QuoteI just finished the demo with most of the secrets found, and I have to say this is something. I spent three hours on it and didn't see the time fly. Really awesome cloak & dagger gameplay with great levels and cool situations that make you think. Some parts are really tricky. Stealth games are my favorite genre and it's easy to make a lot of gameplay or level design mistakes, however it works wonders here and the demo is very solid. The only thing I would've liked is footsteps, but the gameplay is still very good as it is.Amazing architecture and style, it's among the best I've seen in Quake. The castles feel very run-down and at the same time really impressive and somehow alive, with some mysterious aura surrounding them. It's pretty uncanny, even for Quake. I loved the new animations for the monsters. The flavor text was really cool too, with some nice little hints and a cool backstory. I couldn't resist knocking on every door in the second map.

I still need to do these demos, heh.

Yeah. Next year the GOTY will be a book.
-
Yeah, it's deserved IMO.
Also, The Walking Dead game of the year? Fucking really?
-
Glad that Dishonored won something. I hope it wons GOTY, because for me it definitely is the game of the year.
