Map looks great, the announcer was also less annoying in that video, think it might have been the fact there was none of awkward the swearing with no purpose the other videos had.

Someone buy me a PS3
. -
No because you'd then have to manually position all the verts on the outer curve. Looking good Mino's, cant wait to see it with some more detail, I'd like to know the spaces purpose
, it reminds me a bit of Fallout3 at the moment. -
Quote from DaanO
jenno: the patterns of the wood continue in the panel, which makes it obvious you just put edges on a textures. it doesn't look like a separate piece of wood. besides that, i like
I envisioned what you saw as a panel, as just a rectangle of trim attached to the wood, but i can see what you mean now, might be better separated out more.

I have indeed been looking forward to this, nice work on the visuals, cant wait to find out about the game play.

It might just be perspective, but that fallen trunk looks a lot thicker than any of the standing trees. Great work on this forest overall, looks good enough to take a stroll in.

Well, a bit of a gap, been finishing off all my assignments for the year. They're done now which means plenty more time to work on this.
First of thanks for those tips on the Humber Minos, I plan on detailing the back with some props a bit like the survivor dens in L4D. I'm undecided on adding some decals, I could do but it would mean a third texture map on the model which seems a little excessive, I'd be able to write some text on the outside though which would be a nice touch. I also added the wear and tear to the front, and the outside has a normal and specular on it now.

And here's a bit of a photo montage I've been scrubbing together to get an overall feel of how I'd like this thing to feel. I'm gonna work on this, and maybe do a couple of others over the next few days to decide where I'm gonna head with this.

Wow, this has come a really long way since you last showed it. Much better overall atmosphere. I agree the rocks could do with some loving, even your mountains in the background aren't particularly pointy.
-
I love it, tells a nice story. I might be reading it wrong though, but the piece he's putting glue on in the last frame is way too big for the rest of the pot.
-
I certainly enjoyed Planet Terror, I'm looking forward to this one too. It's another film where everyone seems to be involved purely because they're having a good time.
-
It's meant to be the Stark expo. Also those space elevators are still there, they have rings of white lights and red beacons on the top.

Hey, hope you don't mind but I did some work over the top of your texture. Your off to a solid start, I know you want it to be clean but don't be afraid to add a little grime, unless it's 100% brand new or in a lab clean room it's going to get scuffed and a little dirty. Most of what I have done is just overlay some slight grunge layers to add some colour variation, they are mostly on overlay blend mode with 10-30% opacity. I included some seams in the paper, and added some wood panels to the area of the bottom to sell the construction of the wall. The trim along the top is just a personal thing, and increased the contrast between the trim and the wood panels.

I can send you the .psd if you want, drop me a line next time your on msn.

Looks good, I really like the design. I think you could have shaved off a lot more triangles from the rear tires, they seem ridiculously high. And then with those saved triangles you could have included some of the textured detail in the actual mesh, like the rear windows.

Wow, congrats again
. The new King's looking great as well, looking forward to playing this again in it's new incarnation. -
A good start as already said. The green fog in the first shot looks a little odd next to the blue skybox.
-
This is looking as hot as ever.

Wow, so there was no way I was expecting this to take a week, but it just turned out to be one of those weeks where odd things kept popping up. I considered a high-poly model for this and even started one, but in the end if you check some photographs images of an actual Humber Pig, there isn't that much more detail to include, I didn't feel the time needed to model the high-poly would have been worth the payoff in this case. Not to mention I haven't really explored high-poly modeling in any depth yet, one of the things I hope to get to grips with somewhere in this project, I might revisit this and do a model for the wheels before all's said and done.

This is just diffuse at present, I'm going to take a break from working on it and concentrate on some other bits of the scene for a while to save myself getting burnt out.
Currently I haven't produced any concept art myself, though I plan to. But this whole project was kicked off/inspired by this piece http://radojavor.deviantart.com/art/Belfast-41548645 he's got some other awesome pieces in his gallery. I've got some ideas of how i want my scene to look, but the general mood is going to stay very similar.

I'll be giving this a run-through as soon as i can. I don't have Crysis with me atm so I cant install/play it

I've been looking forward to this one. Love the concept.
