I think GTA has repeatedly done the whole political correctness thing in games with far more tact, satire, and wit. Postal 2 is downright childish in comparison.

GTA has the Faggio, the Gash, the San Fierro 69'ers, Beat the Cock, lethal sex toys, and the 69th Street Diner. They're both pretty cheesy. But someones got to do it.

Yeah, Postal's almost an unsung hero (although bizarre and twisted) for introducing pissing as a gameplay mechanic. Especially on Thursday when it was green and you could make people puke. I'd play it here and there if I could get my CD to work anymore.

Running COD4 and Ep2 with everything maxed is quite breathtaking. Still didn't cure my lockup problems though.

I was pleasantly surprised at first, but I didn't notice any changes in the new map. And my god, what abominable load times.

Before I read the news, I thought they'd decided to finally bring back at least some of the missing stuff from DOD. Still, at least the Episode 2 engine adds achievements, visual enhancements and maybe a framerate boost.

    And congratulations, insta.

Yes, it was tongue in cheek (although I wasn't particularly impressed by Halo 3's props.)

Aw man, if you guys remember those infamous commercials for game design schools, I think all of them were from right here in Arizona. Shame he moved halfway across the country just to get false hopes. But I think it shows some passion and initiative.

    For clarification:

This article is not a lamentation, nor is it meant to place blame on anyone for my personal shortcomings. There are probably many reasons why I failed to get even so much as a phone interview. My problems are my own, and I am pursuing other ways to pay the bills.

I will admit, openly and publicly, that I probably don't have a very competitive portfolio.

I can't make a damned thing in a 3D Modeling program. He's got more talent than me, and his stuff's about as detailed as any game on Wii or 360. I say lighten up.

Oh man. I got a copy with the 360 we bought and I still felt ripped off. I actually played it again after Halo 3 became as exciting as a glass of warm milk, it's good for a laugh.

    Guitar Hero III.

Halo 3, and the subscription to live.

Could've bought 4 cartons of cigarettes with that.

I can relate to ginger lord on backbreaking physical labor. I've been killing myself for Discount Tire Co. since August last year and it's just unbelievable. 8am to 6pm is a full shift, you get a 30 minute lunch break if you're there for 8 hours or more, and when you're available anytime like me you'll always work 5 days a week (though I've worked 6 days straight several times.)

Okay then. It's good to hear SOMEONE say it's not perfect. To me this is all an echo of Vice City's release.

I think the screenshot looks great and adds atmosphere, but whatever.

Oh yes, a pox on these farming lamers. After all, it's so easy to heal a teammate as he earns an achievement.

Or join a game a friend is in and heal them.

Or be the first person on your team to go medic after someone calls for one, then heal them. That'll be real easy now that there's 6 medics running around on every team...

The bottom line is that almost all of these achievements are so ridiculously hard and circumstantial, and all to get three measely weapons? I can only imagine the kind of frustration people would have trying to be there for a one in a million moment these things ask for, try to earn them, then get killed or have some sniper way behind them screw it up.

I had no qualms breezing through Call of Duty 4's multiplayer challenges for my golden guns, and if I played this game anymore I'd be probably be hard at work right now.

  • Milliways and more things found on Infocom hard drive.

I have no familiarity with Infocom or Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, but this guy seems to have found a hard drive from Infocom containing e-mails, design docs, employee phone numbers, sales figures, and two playable builds of the unfinished "Milliways: The Restauraunt at the End of the Universe," the planned sequel to "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." You can play one of the builds, extremely partial as it may be, but hey, now I could say I've played a real text adventure.

Is there any chance a derivative of that could end up as an MG42 skin? I miss the 34 from classic DoD.

It's funny that he mentions leaving out the majority and problems with Vista even though their current games have these very problems. And if you have the hardware to run them at high settings it's just a bunch of brown, gray and bloom anyway...

    Oh, and this:

Everyone has a PC. Even those who did not have a PC in the past are now able to afford one and they use it for Facebook, MySpace, pirating music or whatever.

Earns Sweeney Sod a "die in hell" from me.

The uh... floor texture in the third shot looks kind of repeating and/or checkerboard like.

First shot screams Metroid Prime to me, and it's awesome.

A second glance at the gun store shot and I realized it's got an M3 Grease gun, too.

Oh, mama. I've missed those things since I stopped playing Day of Defeat back in 1.0.

It's been a while, but I though I'd perform a little thread necromancy since six new screenshots came online. They're on some Czech gaming site:

    http://games.tiscali.cz/clanek/screen.asp?id=12318

    The gist of it is:

    -MP40'S

    -MG42'S

    -A '56 Chevy knockoff.

    I'm far and beyond sold.

I think so. Building a sports monopoly was another thing they denied in their release on eatake2.com. I thought THQ had a couple sports franchises, the Motocross games being all I can think of.
