Quoteum it's supposed to be a spiritual sequel to true crime...
I thought that was Sleeping Dogs?
Anyway, Watch Dogs looks awesome. Definitely want more of that.

I know a guy who was at BGH. He isn't terribly happy at the moment. But this part (written by an employee) is what gets my blood boiling:
"38 Studios just laid off its entire staff, both Providence and BHG studios are being shuttered.
We have not received a paycheck since April 30th.
On May 15th, we found out we were not getting paid when our checks did not hit our accounts.
Our medical insurance runs out tonight at midnight.
We found this out when an employee's pregnant wife was told by her doctor, this was on Tuesday 22nd May this week.
The company has not communicated anything concrete to the team throughout this process, leaving team members to figure out insurance stop-gaps (where people could afford it), etc. on their own."
And the boss fights were outsourced, which is why they're a mess and don't fit well with the rest of the game.
I survived! But many didn't and our team took a nasty hit. We're doing our best to soldier on and work around any bottlenecks we have, but it's definitely a setback.
Thanks for the support guys.
* There was one guy whose first day was Monday and got hit in the layoffs on Tuesday. I'd imagine he's probably angrier...
QuoteHas this anything to do with THQ since it was the slated publisher of the South Park RPG?
No. MS was the publisher of the cancelled project. Everything is still continuing full steam ahead on South Park.
They're not fixing the C4 detonation cancellation bug. Poo
.
Thanks guys.
Leaving wasn't my choice, and I actually enjoyed my time at R*SD despite how tough it was, but that's just how it goes. Obsidian is a very different company, so it's going to be interesting to see where it goes.
You can remove me from Rockstar and add me to Obsidian Entertainment.
Anybody played this on PS3 and PC? Any big differences? I was thinking of getting it on PC like I have all Elder Scrolls games, but I'm not sure I can run the game with good graphics with my machine (quad core i5, GTX 260) and was thinking of getting the PS3 version.
QuoteVery Earthworm Jim-esque.
Also Toe Jam & Earl.
I need to give the demo a run.
QuoteYou got 80? Nice... you explorer! I I got 50 I think, It's almost impossible to find all the treasures on a Uncharted game without a guide.
Yeah, I only found about 60. I think the treasures in U2 were actually harder to find -- my first playthrough of that I think i only found about 35 :S.
QuoteOn that note, anyone else disappointed by the total lack of unlockables in the game? U2 had a store where medals gave you money to buy things like special rendermodes, extra concepts, weapons and character models to play as for single-player
Yeah I was pretty disappointed. I was looking forward to buying weapons so I could have an easier time getting the 30 kills trophy for each. But at least we don't have to spend the cash to unlock things like the art gallery and BTS videos. I was annoyed by that part in U2 (mainly because the BTS videos went up for free on PSN Store after I had already unlocked them in the game).
Already shipped from Amazon. Should be here tomorrow. ![]()
Quote from 3DnjSo i've finally finished uncharted 1 after a break of 1' years
Hooray! Did you have as much "fun" as I did doing that jet ski level going against the rapids?

I played the trial last night with my bro. It was a lot of fun, especially considering how little you get access to in the trial. I imagine the full game is even crazier.
Kinda wish it came out a few months earlier. Now that it's releasing in the midst of BF3, U3, Skyrim, and War in the North I dunno if I'll end up getting it any time soon
.
A daytime mission would've been more useful for comparison. But still cool.
What about collapsing buildings to take out the MCOM stations? That got pretty irritating too...
I'm loving it. The load times do hurt a bit as I like to reload frequently and experiment with different approaches. I also don't like the fact that extra weapon copies are discarded when you collect them instead of stacking so you can sell them. But other than that, it feels just like DE1 pulled into the modern age.
QuoteAnd i don't get the e-book thing, there is an achievement for reading all 29 however i've collected way more than that already, there must be some that are more important than others but they all look the same
I think what it is is there are multiple copies of the same E-book scattered throughout the game so if you miss it in one spot, you'll find it in another. You'll know you found a new one because you'll get the Scholar XP boost.

Lame

Has anyone played Peace Walker? I wanted to try it but I'm not sure if I want to buy the whole collection just to get it, especially since I still have the PS2 discs for Liberty and Snake Eater.
Congrats! Hopefully one day you'll regale us with stories of Ken Levine.
