Looks like intern joke... Or, used-to-be-intern joke.

I would love so much to go there... And the GDC Vault subscription is crazy expensive, 500$...
One day, one day ...

Also if you look at your reference, but also at most truck pictures on google image, front tires and back tires are usually different, one of them going further on the outside like yours. I don't know exactly why, but it's really often like that.
After of course, it is not necessary to do that for your model.(Maybe you could keep the same texture and try just changing geometry)

In my opinion, this is why his textures are so cool. Don't change that, this handpainted style is 10 times more interesting than basic photo-realistic textures.

It was more for the height of the doorknob and the door name/number thing that is higher than the head. I would find it weird, but it might not be that important.
-
Looks really nice ! Proportions looks a bit off when I compare your silhouette and the door.

Looks like the big fan of Blood Money and were waiting for something really close are the disappointed ones. Unfortunately I think I am part of them, I have been waiting for this game for a long time now. SplinterCell Conviction gameplay (Hide behind boxes and insta kill 5 guys with one button) was interesting but it's not what I was expecting for a Hitman game
.I still hope I will like it !

Oh, by the way, I though gametextures.com was only providing texture sets. But you last picture is a whole prefab. They do also make prefabs ?

Quote from Chimeray
But then people trade in those steam keys and you get that same steam key afterwards? Meaning you just lost the publisher a sale... Which, needless to say, hurts the industry. Or is this not how it works after all?
I guess publishers sells the keys to other stores than Steam, GMG being one of them. After, GMG may sell them really cheap, and make less or no profits on this title for a short period, but it serves also as an advertisement for the website. People buying this game really cheap there might like the service of the website and choose it later over other websites for future purchase.

Looking really cool. for the glass, you could also, or for another texture in the future, just paint in R and G channel of the normal map, some fragments slightly brighter or darker, to give the impression that they have a slightly different orientation. Although I never tried it for something like that, not sure how interesting it would be.

I have been in the same situation as you, I was looking for a SVN hoster for an udk projet.
I was thinking about using Git for a moment, but then I discovered that Git don't have any 'Lock File' function. This seemed to be a major problem for us, since we will with lots of binary files, udk packages, etc, which cannot be merged. If there will be several people working on the same files, this can become difficult to manage, no ?
In the end we found a friend that could host the svn for us, so we went for it. But I found this host which looks interesting: http://repositoryhosting.com/ (unlimited users and repositories, and the price looked acceptable: 8$/mo for 2GB and then +1$/mo for every additional Go used), but I did not try it out.

Maybe the music in the video helps ? (From Yann Tiersenn, he made every musics from Amelie)
But yeah, the same for me.. It reminded me JP Jeunet, and a bit Miyazaki.
Thank you for your comments and tips Pomperi, I will think about them !

Yeah, True, especially for the tires. I noticed it too late (it's a contest, I had to send it today).

I made a little vehicle from a small modeling contest on a french mapping board.

) here:Original concept by Alain Brechbuhl : http://uppix.net/5/1/8/5419ef79a85b4341 ... 4cf837.jpgExternal Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. I don't know if it is my computer, my OS (Win Seven x64 ?), or if it works better on a mac, but PS CS4 is really unstable for me, when working on big files, it keep crashing every 2-3 hours. It's horrible.
-
Well, yeah...
If you want to create realistic textures, using photo sources is the quickest way to have good results.
But I don't really understand what's your point in this post ?

Here is an in-game screen of the 3D model of the concept here.
In-game render made on the Unreal Engine 3 with Unreal Tournament 3 (The background is an UT3 map: Islander).
Polycount: ~3600 Tri.
Textures: 2048²*(Diffuse+Specular+Emissive)

It was first made to help me to find colors for my 3d model, before texturing, but I couldn't stop and made this.
I made a basic render with maya and painted everything over it.
Comments are welcome !
