This isn't the real one, but the edited version that came as Blu-Ray in the US (because supposedly the first version of the movie was too complicated to grasp...) I like the original better, but this scene is ok both ways.

EDIT: Found the real one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OSEx_UyBeA&NR=1

So yeah, how come my and Sentura's Youtube embeds are blank?

Because you put the whole link between the tags when you should only use the code refering to the video (after ?v= and remove &feature=...)

    EDIT: Damn, HP was faster

We've decided to promote the mod a bit before its release, so here's a first teaser. The trailer is done but we'll wait a few more days to go public with it.

Most depressing and bleak film I've seen is probably Grave of the Fireflies. It gets extra points for looking so nice and innocent, and for being based on a book, based on reality, written as an 'apology.

Indeed, this is the saddest movie I've seen so far. Love it.

I've been meaning to ask how in the hell you pulled off good looking daylight in Max Payne 2.

Very tricky stuff, that's why some of the detail meshes can't have shadows. But basically the whole skybox texture is sending light, and before sending it to the renderer, we color it with an orange dark texture because the color of the texture that emits light influences the light color aswell, and set it back as Skybox afterwards.

It should work on the Steam version of Max Payne 2, right?

I don't own the Steam version, but I suppose it does, yes. If it can run mods, it can run this one.

Mona: The Assassin is an unofficial Max Payne 2 expansion featuring 5 original, action-packed levels.

    Website: http://%7boption%7d

    Release date: January 1st 2009

Mona Sax is a contract-killer, a job at which she excels. When a Mafia boss sends his army of mobsters after her, assaulting her hideout and forcing her to flee through the city streets, it gets personal and real nasty.

From an abandoned asylum, through the suburban streets of the Big Apple, to the Mafia social club, unleash her destructive power and make them regret to have ever messed with Mona: The Assassin.

I've finally took a couple hours to create a new portfolio (must be about my 8 or 9th design). I tried to go for a simpler, clearer look this time.

Let me know what you guys think so far.

    http://www.clement-melendez.com/portfolio

It lacks such things as my resume, contact, and I'm thinking about adding a button to hide/show the oldest projects which aren't portfolio material. I'll also add some more navigation to be able to switch from a project to the next or previous one without having to go back to the list.

And thanks for the comments so far! Hope you enjoy the gameplay as much as you seem to like the design

i still don't get why people make fps games on consoles. joypads are horrendous to use as a mouse :\

Agreed, I missed plenty of FPS because they were on console. I played Killzone on PS2, great game, but would have been so much better on PC. I mean, I'm trying, but I still can't aim right with a controller. I spend most of my time adjusting the aim.

Im not sure about the gray?

Nah, it could be ok for the header, but in the main part it's weird to see it so close to the brown. I liked it better before.

So what colors do you want to see then.

-It has to be red/orange since those are the colors I have used since ages

-It has to be dark for the screenshots sake

So unless I mix in dark blue, which would kind of clash I think, I only have dark red/orange/yellow to work with, commonly known as brown.

The only thing I could do besides that is just go for gray, but thats prolly rather boring? Havent tried that yet though.

I think the color set is ok, not the best but quite original and recognizable so I understand you want to stick with it.

If you want to hear my opinion, I think you just use too many variants of these colors next to each other. I'm talking about the lines in the header and the yellow dots and lines in the menu.

I also think you overcomplicated your header. Something simpler would look better and maybe not have this repulsive effect on people who don't appreciate your color choices.

I were you, I'd simplify just the header and menu (for instance, the yellow bar under each menu item doesn't seem necessary, you've got other feedback giving features there, and adds to the noise). I'd also ton down the central div background color a bit, I think the brown is too bright (better have more contrast for the shots to stand out and text to be readable)

":3i0cgeo0]Unreal Engine is one of the most used engines in the industry! Just because UT3 was a commercial failure, doesn't' mean learning UE3 and UnreadEd is a lost cause for your career.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Un ... gine_games

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_eng ... urce_games

And just because HL2 and It's flowing episodes were a commercial hit, learning It's editor wont get you into the industry more easily then learning UE3, SandBox2, Radiant, or whatever.

I agree with that. Unreal seems to be somehow the reference.

EDIT: my point is: the Source engine suits what I want to create, and I wouldn't be able to create that under the mentioned recent games. I don't want to get U3 (I don't like the Unreal gameplay) and create a multiplayer level just for the sake of learning the editor. When a moddable game that I feel like creating a level for comes out, I'll go for it (actually, I could have gone for Gears of War). It's just not about the power or the ease of use of the engine, rather what assets, resources and possibilities it comes with.
