can you elaborate on the download size limit? does point_servercommand no longer work to allow larger downloads?

what exactly is meant by the 64mb limit (i ran cs:s bsps over 100mb off an old server, either through the cfg or a point_servercommand entity in the map), and how does one work around it?

the whole knife just missing somebody's head through the wall of the closet thing is way underdone in movies.

the nature of the game encourages that, though...ts are more compelled to move. cts are more compelled to hide.

And was also genetic disposition to put a gun in the hands of the guy?

My post was about mental illness, not american gun laws.

because mental issues are created from the environment. it's not like mental issues are all created at birth and then suddenly just triggering,

actually, yes, they often do. and that trigger happens to be in the late teens and early 20s (correlation?) for a variety of disorders, schizoid and bipolar spectrum to name a couple.

lots of people encounter trauma and unhealthy "social interactions." i think it's more accurate to say that genetic disposition has a big hand in how those things are processed and dealt with on an individual basis.

if anything is wrong with rage, it's the 2011 gameplay. the 1997 gameplay was pretty solid.

i'm in the states, so it's tough to make it to the tests, but i downloaded the map and ran around in it.

it's quite nice, but the thing that really struck me was how close the sites were to one another. i counted like 5 to 7 seconds between them, which will require very little commitment from the cts to one site or the other and will allow for quick rotation. with some of the ct advantage that's been talked about already, this will likely add more.

certainly, i didn't play, so this is just a guess, but i think it's probably a good one given standard distances of around 15 seconds or so between sites, give or take a few.

if it turns out to be an issue, this could be a relatively easy fix by relocating the left site (from t spawn) somewhere outside the current bounds of the map and will allow you to open things up elsewhere (and in the new site) as has been suggested.

    looking good. thanks for sharing.

didn't look much further than the examples on gizmodo, but these look more like wayfinding maps you'd find on-site or in brochures for these places anyway than they do actual plans (which would reveal a whole lot more information about the buildings).

the rounded corners are a great piece for the kit. add a lot of possibilities for relatively little investment.

    nice so far.

start with upping the ambient light, if you haven't already?

though i've never done it, i believe there are parameters for bounce numbers in vrad.

i'm guessing those are default textures, so this third option might be a small hassle...but you could rewrite and rename the vmt for the textures in those places with $reflectivity (ie. $reflectivity "[.2 .2 .2]" ) and get definite results.
