there was a certain toy-like charm to some of the earlier versions that's completely gone now, but i think it's a fair trade.

    gahg!

st. peter's facade and a good bit just behind it are a travesty of design, if for no other reason than it totally cockblocks michelangelo's vastly superior building behind it.

don't fall too far under the spell of ornament, D3ads. it will eat your soul.

have you ever seen play-doh when you start mixing in other colors? best to just leave it alone and take care of the colors after you 3-d scan it.

The more I play this game the more I see that its completely broken to the core. Anyone else noticed the population inflation? The city adviser is always requesting more residential areas to bring in more workers no matter what I do. What is annoying is that from all the people who live in my town, only 20% or so actually do something (either work, shop or study), the other 80% just sits around watching TV all day apparently. I wonder if they are just phantoms to make the game look like it handles more people than it actually does.

    evidence for your claim:

this was my favorite series of games.

hope they commit to improve and i'll gladly buy it later.

i'm not sure what you're ultimately trying to accomplish, but if keeping them out of the pit works, you might be able to help it along by editing the nav mesh with nav_avoid or something else that discourages travel. i don't know much about the behavior of hostages while following cts, so it's just a guess.

you sure this isn't taking place on displacements? displacements have minimum numbers based on their size and will switch on you if you set them too low.

this is a 2 year old video for a five or six year old thing i made. it's a single player map for cs:s(!) full of puzzle-solving clues so arcane that i got confused and mad at myself when i went back to record this. there's no real meaning behind the space/moon theme, it's all just nonsensical stream of consciousness stuff whose only real purpose was to exploit the entity systems in source.

(yeah, new word guys! Include it in your nearest dictionary. "Motheroven" comes from the smart combo of "mother", usually used in conjunction with "fucking", and "oven", that extremely hot cooking instrument.)

eek, the birth of your new word looks like it's going to fall victim to some weird timing.

i actually think that the sun should be a little darker (and/or lower in the sky) for that sort of pink to be believable. which is not to say that visibility should be darker...you'd have to work something out with upping the contrast and street/ambient lighting.

I love L4D2. I've played it for +200 hours, but it's fucking impossible to play a decent game with a friend. It's been like this forever now.

    • People leave as soon as something unexpected happen or they're not in the lead.
    • Everyone playing L4D2 are russians and the chat is being spammed down with unintelligible cyrillic shit.
    • WHY isn't it possible to join with a party of 2 or 3?

Is it that difficult to implement some sort of incentive to keep people playing on a server?

l4d(2) is all about vs. imo, but it's implemented in a way that often ends in frustration if you don't have 7 friends that have an hour and a half to set aside.

wish they would experiment with some different versus modes and work on the matchmaking/server browser

okay, i thought it was an issue with the game. thanks for the response.

i ran around in it, too, and the performance was about half as good, at best, as valve's maps in their weakest spots.

looks nice, cool you figured out flow maps, though the water does look a little strange at some moments when it changes direction (particularly tight spots such as columns).
