i just completed it, and for some reason in my mind i cant get it to match the hype in my head. sure, it's an original game and everything; the setting/environment unmatched, but it just seems weird how you're isolated from all real people (they either die or you can't get to them) and that really turned me off (you mostly hear the radio, everyone you meet is HOSTILE). also, while the number of different splicers was good, meet human/robot only enemies made for some very boring combat, and i really felt frustrated fighting the same things at the last level that i did in all the previous levels as well.
having played the thief games, i could see the spirit of pagans in the houdini splicers and i really loved how they acted hostile towards even other splicers. that was really one of the better things in the game. the 'would you kindly' thing was great as well, since you don't really notice it before he tells you; and the next sentence after that is just perfect how he mixes the different politeness levels, "would you kindly turn of the fucking thing". it also seems to me that the different ending split up after you've been at tannerbaum's orphanage, so you only have to complete the latter part of the game again for the second ending? the way she tells you, 'it's up to you what you want to do with the girls now'. i do like how the good ending twisted at the end after fontaine, i had expected it would go a completely different way than that (that you do the final thing to become a big daddy and watch over the girls forever), although the boss was easier than some of the previous mobs i had fought (didnt die once).
i had more to say but i forgot what it was, so ill just end it here. score: 8/10; it could have been better and more immersive instead of isolating.

just to clear things up: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/abrasive
abrasive as in he (zombie) could have polished his wording a bit more.

i didnt even know there was something called a quarter life crisis, but i suppose i have that sort of thing right now. the whole philosophical thing comes up alot. i have changed my perception on death, which occupies my mind alot (no idea why), to some weird reanimation cycle resembling tabula rasa. i am not depressed though, i just have these weird/bad/black thoughts.

Why shocking?
Are you shocked that no one sucked your dick with praise?
honestly, you could be less abrasive. i dont get why you have to insult people or give them a hard time; this is the second time i see you doing this.

i reckon default texture size is actually 512x512. texture scale in hammer is normally 0.25, so it will end up as a higher definition 128x128

your 2 cent you mean?
anyway it looks really bland. i know hospitals are supposed to be very sterile environments, but you could still add some screens etc etc. whenever i am at a hospital, i never see anything bland like that, you always have glasses, tables etc everywhere.

why do you have to be such an ass? if you dont like it, dont read the thread.

i think it needs to be said that politicians, like it or not, are not holy men; it's their job to run parties and govern the country, but it seems many cannot figure out what is best for the people and instead use their own bias and become corrupted. i see this nearly everywhere, and it really saddens me.
my point was that if he think it's a nazi party, then let him think that. you can't kill people for having another opinion, nor should they be restricted. we all live in free countries, right?
i could go on about why this and that is wrong and why politicians in general have too much power on their hands, but i did promise myself never to bring up politics again, so i'll cut the line here.

no it's not the first one you hear - it's the classical score. you hear it towards the end as the first song fades and the whole scenery is revealed.
