i would have considered buying if the game was something along 10 or 15 bucks.. but 30? no way. i could buy a regular game for that price and it would be better spent.

i bought ut3 because i could get it for what is roughly £5. it only really interested me because there was the tutorial dvd with the collector's box. once i get a little less work around i am gonna power some unrealED. about time i learn another engine than gldsrc/source.

batman is one of my favorite heroes. that trailer definitely made me look forward to it. also, does anyone know if a punisher II movie is on the way?

i would make a guess and say that crytek is under a contract to complete and release those next games in the series, and therefore unquestioned can go on doing their business. they are, after all, a high profile company so i am sure that their publisher has given them a green light to go working on the next titles; whether or not the engine sells is insignificant.

i do not have spyware. however, this might very well be related to the trojan some people are getting. i have only had it sporadically when i browse the forums, not every time. just like some people describe how the trojan acts. i'd say that this matter needs looking into.

i am pretty sure the crytek will produce the sequels either how. it's not like they are going bankrupt.

i guess this will take some time getting used to. apart from the look "issues", i still get that microsoft remote data pop up yellow bar arbitrarily when the forum page loads.

i get a popup every now and then from microsoft access something something. that's about all; however i reckon this means it's not unintentional.

still looks amazingly empty. the props you have added (like the soda machines) seem complete out of context with the concrete surface. i honestly dont think you lack content since you could probably add whatever is in your reach from within the sdk; what i think you lack is purpose.

it seems you have a series of hallways or other just connected. sure people use them for escalators etc, but would they really build a public service station like that? wouldnt they make it more effective by compressing everything to the smallest space neccesary?

i think-- no, i know they would. instead of having blank walls try to do something with the space around them - make storage rooms with grates and put cardboard boxes inside or something similar. add the feeling that the place was in obvious use before it simply became a cs map. you will probably have to rearrange some of the map layout to compensate for reality, but in the end, you'll have a map that not only looks nicer, but feels more real.

i have loads of different singles from different artists. i usually group artists into folders, then albums as subfolders. if i only have 2 or 3 track from an album i wont bother creating a subfolder for it. from a playlist approach i simply list everything and then have a random sort on. the good thing about this is when you have a keyboard with next/previous track, it's easy to manage. also i never discard any songs from any albums. instead, i just dont have artists not worth listening to.

on my portable player i use a different approach, mainly because i cant be bothered filtering out what i want to hear (or well, i dont have time to do it) at every given point of time. so i use playlists, usually with around 20 tracks each with maybe 2-3 tracks per artist from different genres. whenever i am tired of one playlist i can essentially switch onto the next and have an emulated setup of what i have on my desktop without too much of a bother.

With what? There's only one cable line to the house which is connected to the 20mb connection I'm using right now. I'm certainly not paying for another line, there's no guarantee I'll even be here for long next year to make use of it.

honestly, this is an ignorant excuse. even if you dont want to go wireless, you can setup a switch in your house so that you can have a number of pcs hooked up to the same line. nobody has 2 lines for one piece of household property.

i have often had the same thoughts as you put forth, izuno. my view is that computer games are art, and should be treated like art. i am not puritan in any way, but it still puts a nail through my heart every time i see another sequel in a franchise.

for what it's worth, they could at least have called the game something different (particularly in the case of call of duty series and medal of honor) to lessen the negative impact. i think that franchises as they are now are a bad thing for the industry, and while they do make money for the publishers, they do so in an extremely cynic and capitalistic way. i also think that franchising in general spoils the amount of mystique that surrounds a game; commercializing a character removes part of his or her character (no pun intended), making the next game less enjoyable than the previous one(s).

i guess one of the reasons why some people dislike franchises in the industry is because you get the feeling of disappointment once you see a sequel for a game that already ended; that's how i've felt with a majority of games (with very few exceptions). in the end it's more of a individual issue/niche; we can all whine about how bad a game or a sequel is, but as long as money drives the world, things aren't really subject to change.

wow. deranged way of putting forth a message. honestly i'd rather have make a guy speaking of this issue rather than see 3 character get derailed and clowned like that. if this is really such a serious topic, they're not doing much to actually emphasize that.

if you're going to sli, get 8800GTs instead of 8800GTS'. much less heat generation and much better performance. for a processor, the q6600 is good, but for now i'd wait until they release something better, or better versions of it (like they did with the c2d procs).

ram, get corsair xms2 dominators, theyre the best of ddr2 if you cant afford to buy ddr3, though the xms3s arent bad either if you plan on using ddr3, and a cheaper alternative than xms3 dominators.

any additional cooling you can get on your motherboard will come in handy for any setup, so scout wisely when choosing.

    that is all.

    very headcrab esque, quakis

personally i'd say the more you make it look like a molecule, modified or singular, the better it'll look for something as small as a virus.

as for people knowing that it is a "bad shit" - look up gestalt psychology. spiked shapes around a round inner core is very much a possibility. the more alienated people feel from the shape, the more apprehensive the image will appear. also consider the coloring - the biohazard is normally yellow, which would means "warning", while red would signify imminent danger.

more about all of this is explained within the gestalts, those are just a few general directions. i am sure you will be able to find pages loaded with it, and honestly, gestalts are great tools when working with atmosphere, or when you want to give players visible hints (i.e. a fall piece of material would make the player look up to see where it came from).

EDIT: the wiki for gestalts is a quite good start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestalt_psychology
