i've had a huge problem with a transition as well. so far the only more or less succesful transition completely without tutorials for me has been 3d studio max. i really want to learn ut3, but as with max or any other modelling programs, the camera is annoying as hell. how is it that hammer has the best camera available yet everyone else has their own way of doing things? is there any way to change to the camera in any program to match the one used in hammer?

Algor, im not picking any fights here. calm down, and read the whole discussion before your start throwing mud at somebody.

this coming from you after what you said to me in the fistful of frags thread is amazing, yet you call others hypocrits.

with that said, i used to pirate games as well some.... what, 9 years ago? when i was 13 and practically never had any money. it was also when we (our household) got internet for the first time and naturally, i'd try and take advantage of it. however, the numbers (which at any rate was below 10 games at most) soon rocketed as good games got few and far inbetween, because i for one was modding for half life, but also because a few years later i was thrown into a mmorpg craze along with a few friends of mine (i had aids before it was cool etc.).

i continued pirating games with my last two ever being max payne 2 and vice city somewhere around 2003-4 i reckon. pretty much after that half life 2 came, and i started modding again; and have been buying games pretty much ever since. now that i work at a gamestop, i pretty much get games at a near free discount so paying games is turning out to be a delight rather than a burden. present day i have about 5 or so games i still have to play from past and present lying on my table, and i've purchased around 16-20 since i started working (late sept.).

my point is that i think i am very stereotypical in my childhood, but i came out of it. i reckon there are many people with different effects on them that more or less need to take advantage of warezing because otherwise they cannot get to play those games. while i dont consider myself lucky to be where i am, i know that i am in a position of choice whether to buy or warez. and in my right mind i always decide which games to buy and which games not to buy or warez at all. but for others, let's take an example:

this past season, with about 10 major releases, how many of you want to bet that the amount of warez has been extreme due to poor marketing skills from the different sales departments? we've had a bland summer where alot of games could have been out, or games could have been postponed to the new year, yet all these different companies decided to release games more or less a day apart. now i am not blaming the publishers so much for the warezing (in the end, the person at the end of the line still has to make the final decision whether to buy or not), but honestly they could have expected something like that.

it's clear where they got the inspiration for cluttering details for bioshock from

also, for a guy who helped develop god of war, i consider david jaffe's desk pretty clean. needs more blood and a red tattoo over the right monitor.

right, the click drag works. however someone needs to notify mojo or thrik about this so we can get horizontal scrollbars. as for the track, it looks like one of them standard tracks you see in most games. i preferred the looks of the first one you posted; especially with the ice floe thing. i am huge fan of micro machines racing games where there are things in each track you can use to your advantage (or disadvantage).

the throat needs to be way slimmer, it looks like she's a man because of it. also, rework the jaw/chin in a way so it looks more round. again, a more square face looks more manly.

texture choice is poor, hate to say. you seem to use the same few concrete texture over most of the map. it really kills the atmosphere. solution: use different textures with more variety.

it looks as if it was made for goldsource :\

killertomato i am asking you kindly to be quiet instead of insulting people and not adding anything constructive. your post was uncalled for.

also it seems like i am being misunderstood here, what i said was that i couldn't be bothered playing a game because it's too frustrating. the reason i said the things about the jumping thing is that it feels awkward and out of place. you've had several people asking you the same thing, so it's not just me; yet you continue to just pin it on me or insult me? sorry, but i cannot be bothered with discussing anything with a person that acts like that. let me be clear again that i quit playing that mod because i dislike the jumping thing as it is now, not because of this discussion as you may think. i've had my say, however, so i can only hope for you to change it in a future version.

perhaps i am of a different opinion than r_yell when i say that i play games for entertainment, not for innovation or realism. perhaps i may just have downloaded and played the wrong mod for me, however much i like the western theme.

i am not going to continue this discussion so please do not respond to this post. thank you.

if you're not gonna bother about players or gameplay, why make the mod in the first place? if you're going to announce a mod for people to play only to ruin their experience, you might as well just have kept it to yourself. for now, you've convinced me to give up your mod; i can't be bothered discussing this anymore.
