do you mini/maximize the game instead of closing/reopening? usually that happens there, and there wont be anything wrong with the final map as long as people dont mini/maximize.

great architecture, but could use some contrast... it's all brown and therefore hard to distinguish a surface from another. i would suggest to use textures with an appropiate contrast (see color theory) to make it look much better.

the keirsey site should be considered above the other, as they follow two different schools (keirsey follows the newer keirsey based school that puts focus on the gap between N and S types, where as the old MB based school focuses more on the other three characteristic; i.e. that a ESFJ is similar to a ENFJ, because they both have EFJ).

also, the test may differ with individuals below a certain age since this test is aimed at individuals who have reached maturity.

i gotta say that i like those textures... granted, the sudden contrast might hurt your eyes, but if dimmed down, i could see myself do tf2 map with these... if i were allowed to use them

this link will take you to the overview, where each archetype is described:

    - artisans are xSxP.

    - guardians are xSxJ.

    - idealists are xNFx.

    - rationalists are xNTx.

for the record, i am of the ENFJ subtype, which corresponds to the teacher archetype, if people were wondering.

purely in the interest of science (and statistics), i am imploring everyone to take this personality test. a bit of background: the test is based upon MBTI - myers-briggs type indicator, a system of archetypes that was prototyped by carl jung, and later put into further developments by different psychologists. each archetype has a different characteristics and has its share of traits.

    note:

for people that don't want to take the test, please don't litter the thread with replies about likes and dislikes of tests or other. for people that have taken the test, but are reluctant in giving up their letter code because of employers or other; feel free to pm me your code. it will be kept confidential; however it may be used in anonymous statistics.

    the test itself:

    http://%7boption%7d

[please read the following only if you have taken the test or if you do not intend to take the test]

the general idea is that, through taking the test, you are being judged on four different characteristics, represented by letters; below is a short description of the letter pairs, one being the opposite of the other.

E/I: extroverted or introverted. introverted people don't like to talk much, where as extroverted people like to talk.

S/N: sensing or intuitive. sensing people are concrete in thought, where as intuitive people are abstract in thought.

F/T: feeling or thinking. thinking types tend to look more at logic possibilities, whereas feeling types tend to focus on a "gut" feeling they have.

J/P: judgmental on percieving. judging types place judgment on people faster, whether you deliver assignments on time, whereas percieving does not judge people and may be late for appointments.

each archetype will have four subtypes, and each subtype has a different letter code. to see more about your specific subtype (and in general more about the characteristics), please follow this link:

that would be tricky. i can imagine it done through a point_template entity, where the first template is the actual zombie and the second being the trigger, the trigger STILL parented to the zombie. this could reduce the mess quite a lot since you just keep making an instance of the template.

yeah i have had the same problem and i'm not sure what is causing it -- though it only happens every once in a while. in addition, the chrome pillars for stairs and movable surfaces are non reflective until you buildcubemaps; i'm not really sure how to fix this. i've been looking everywhere for answers.

also please note that you can only actually get stuck near the end puzzle. up until then there should not be a problem in completing the level.

yeah i was about to say you could probably do it with some I/O scripting. having a trigger parented to a zombie that toggles the zombie state depending on where the player is located. it would get messy, and i am not sure how well you could actually incapsulate it to save resources, but none the less, it is possible.. although yeah, source could benefit from a decent scripting language :\

there is a door on the other side of the room, follow that door's strip to where it ends.

as for the classic portal aesthetic; i wanted a map where everyone could follow, and as such left it very much in the same style as the original game to let everyone (newer players alike) have an easier go. if i had picked a different setting, there would have been more confusion and i would have to undergo basic tutorial steps to make each player familiarize themselves with the new environment, which again would block my possibility of making this puzzle in the time i spent for it.
