Why everything mobile-related must be cartoon=ish and that looks like games for children? I don't get it. Check the list of top 50 games on iPhone. Mostly there are colorful games with childish gameplay. I guess this is all what can be played when sitting on toilet or in metro. Why it would suck if that DK game would be just like the original? People won't buy it? What is the idea of making a cartoon game with fucked up proportions and crazy color palette?

I've sent some questions to Piwigo devs, maybe there will be a solution for my answers

I've added 3 titles without videos. Right now I see that there will be problem with videos, will fix that later.

Now it's time to tag Each user (admin/guest) can tag the picture. Right now users can pick only existing tags (to reduce tags like "swag" or "ass") - there's a pencil icon right next to "Tags" section. Click it and write

Thumbs are now bigger but still not massive. Maybe I'll add an option to show bigger thumbnail after hoovering if it's still to small? I've set photos per page to 50. It would be awesome to have infinite scrolling option but I guess Piwigo doesn't support that...

Yep, Dead End Thrills guy is making art of games, I'm making a more technical refererence database.

    1,2,3, check:

How it looks, how it works, all fine?

The one minus is that you need to go to "Photo sizes > Original" to open the largest size. I'll try to fix it later, maybe I'll just leave M and XL sizes

Yep, I found 3 free online galleries, each with tagging option and will test them soon. It's: ResourceSpace, piwigo and cpg. RS looks most promising right now.

Here's the list of games that are mostly 100% screenshoted, some of the titles are made by my friends from work, I hope to see more in the collection

I'm thinking about sharing my collection of screenshots and videos from lots of games I've finished but I'm not 100% sure is it fine for developers? You know, there might be an idea in the marketing dept. that I'm sharing things I shouldn't or something?

What do you think? I'd like to tag all the pictures and videos (currently 15 547 files, 25GB's) on LD.org so if you'll type "chair" or "water drips fx" in the search box you'll get all the content that is tagged with these words. Might be useful to see how, let's say, rocks were made in Skyrim.

Maybe it's nostalgia but such games should have such HUDs.

Round UI from Sims is also nice, lots of options, all in one place close to cursor

Background is very simple but I guess it's how that game looked like back then so it's fine Anyway, this could be a nice mobile game if the gameplay would be trackmania-like

Why give up? Just fuck it but the line between developers and gamers never been so thin, it's a bit scary what gamers can do because of the frustration. It's gamers' problem but what will be next?

Erosion is a process that shapes terrain. It can be rock, sand, clay...

Anyway, try chekcing Google Earth or look for some heightmaps as a displacement to shape it quickly.

I'm not sure it the result would be realistic. I think that good reference pics and well sculpted terrain will do the best result. The realistic shape of the desert is rather flat, not so wavy as the footprints but it depends what you need to achieve - maybe you just want to have a "curvy desert" so it's ok then.

There's a method to take out the heightmap of the realistic deserts/mountains from Google Earth via 3DRipper or stuff like that. I guess that's a best idea to get thre shape quickly without any knowledge about creation process of the desert.

I've tested HL2 on rift yesterday and my whole day was fucked, I was feeling sick for a looong time :/ I've also tried Quake 1, some roller coaster demos and the SDK demo - cool stuff but I need to get used to it. I'll try to calibrate this as Helder said but how to calibrate it?

When looking on Borderlands 2 sales the studio will survive for a moment but maybe not in that squad.

Still there are some nice memories from the past from Gearbox:
