I'm definitely going now. Be great to go for dinner one night with all you guys!

That Doom map looks amazing. Nice work. That mod looks so... punchy!
Finished up this scene tonight. Lots of fun learning more about Unreal blueprints. I might just spend a while learning them a bit more before I do anything else.

Agreed with Rick. DS1 is the best Dark Souls game, I'd highly recommend it. I played it about 4-5 years ago and loved it.

And yeah, RE1 remake is the best remake of any game, ever.
Also that RE7 demo on PSN is pretty fucking good, can't wait for the game later in the month.
Ah man yeah, RE4 is one of my fav games. Loved that on the GC!

Any experienced substance designer users have an idea of how to procedurally apply snow to the lower crevices of the model? I'm planning on adding snow to most of my exterior models.
Ambient Occlusion + Position input -> mask?
Yup that's how I'd do it. Clamp your position map with a histogram scan to wherever you need the snow to be on your mesh, and add an inverted AO. Make the snow as a separate material and add it via a material blend node.

The cool thing is that I don't remember anything from the first game at all (I barely played it back then), so I'm pretty much playing it for the first time, figuring shit out as I go. Feels good to feel the same tension that I felt when I played the original ones back then... everything in this game is so fucking lethal!
What you playing it on dawg? Not played those games for years. I loved 1, 2 and 3 with Nemesis.. Jeez that guy was terrifying.

I might be going this year, work are trying to get me to go! I'll let you guys know, it'd be awesome to meet!

We were chatting about Bioshock 2 at work today. I absolutely loved it but my mate hated it. It was more divisive than the first game but I think it's worth trying!

Not really done a massive amount of personal work recently, but thought I'd get stuck into something in the new year. Messing about with Blueprints and Sequencer in UE4. Sequencer is great! So much better than Matinee, that thing was a mess.

I'm so addicted to SN right now. Great work man.

Nice crotch bulge. 9/10.

Just finished. Fuck, that was incredible.
Personally, I don't want to see a second season. I think the ending was perfect.
-
It's incredible. A few guys at work have been going on about it and we're all hooked.
We just finished episode 9. Please don't read the below spoiler if you haven't seen the show, or you'll ruin the show for yourself.
Spoiler Emma saw the name 'Bernard Lowe' in episode 9 and straight away shouted 'IS THAT AN ANAGRAM OF ARNOLD?!', haha. Nailed it. We got a little piece of paper out and wrote out the letters and guessed his surname, 'Weber'. That was a nice twist. Can't wait to watch the next episode!

We men like to think ourselves as strong but any men will succumb to a woman's manipulations if they are not paying attention, heck, even Julius Caesar was played like a toy by Cleopatra lol.
Instead of trying to figure out what their actions mean (an impossible task), work on strengthening your intellect and confidence, so you can look past their manipulations and get them to do your bidding instead

Minos, everything ok at home? Please signal to us if you're under duress. Blink twice if you need help.

That looks wicked. Did you guys make your own voxel system specifically for SN, or does Unity have something built in? Looks ace.

I'm about 9 hours in and I'm still not sold. It's another example of an open world that feels so empty/sparsely populated. The characters are still not really clicking with me and I find the combat to be super basic... It's a shame they didn't include more elements from FFXII. The magic system is really lacking for me. As someone said previously, where's protect, shell, white magic etc? The car is a bit annoying too, I find it really boring having to sit and wait for it to take you somewhere. I know you can fast travel to cities and parking spots, but.. I dunno. Just isn't quite gelling with me yet.
I'm going to carry on playing though, I really want to see if it expands the combat system any more. If not, I think I'm gonna sell it. I just got to the second area which looks a bit bigger so I'm hoping that it improves from here.
I'm really glad that you guys are enjoying it though, genuinely. Each to their own I guess!
-
How much have you guys played so far? I think I've put in about 3-4 hours and it's kinda clicking but I'm not sold just yet. The characters are a bit shitty and not that likeable so far. The voice acting is a bit generic. But I'm enjoying it so far.
One thing I'm a bit worried about is how basic the combat system is. I loved the gambit system from FF12. Can you not control your other characters to a greater degree than just 'press L1 then a button on the Dpad'?
