Damnit is this a joke or not?!

I'm confused, what's going on?

It's great. More of the same though really.

Most people are thinking that because FB bought Oculus, that all of a sudden your facebook wall is gonna turn into a virtual reality jizz fest. FB (the site) will probably have nothing to do with the Oculus Rift... They're a company, and they're investing in the future. They aren't neccessarily linking everything up together.

Fake money, aka facebook shares. Don't think the company has actually turned a profit yet
facebook makes a profit.

Facebook has been getting more profitable each quarter. Diluted EPS has gone from $.03/share to $.20/share in a year.
colour me surprised. Would of thought it would be like amazon tbh, turn a loss for the first 7 years. It's what most internet companies do, no matter how successful.
Hi William, I colored you surprised, I hope this helps

That's just colouring him gay.

I wonder what FB want to do with this exactly? Can I view my FB wall in full 3D? Fuck it really is taking over now.

Weather isn't that bad. Summer is gorgeous in the UK, usually.
Also HP WTF?! 30 euros for a daypass on the Underground? It's £8 maximum! Get an Oyster card and you'll be sorted, there's a maximum daily cap on those things.

really, dark souls (1 at least, haven't tried 2) is an inaccessable mess where most of the popularity comes from the gamer-cred you get from finishing it. It's absolutely full of poor design choices justified by nostalgia for old games that were incredibly difficult in order to artificially create more value/playtime. And unlike good hard games (think Super Meat Boy), the game provides little to no sense of progression, and checkpoints are spread out so much that in the end you just end up trying to make a mad dash to just see what's next. Also unlike other great hard games, the game controls really badly, animations are so slow and clunky that you feel like you have no control of your character. It's as if someone made Skate 2 into an RPG and took out the skateboards. The game is about as niche as it gets.
*runs* *dives out window*
Dude. Dark Souls is pretty accessible. There is a huge sense of progression. Checkpoints are fine and actually provide a challenge. Controls are fine, feels very responsive.
Put the crack pipe down!

London isn't that expensive lol. House prices, yes. Everything else doesn't tend to be that bad. It's the capital, yo.
We should have a Mapcore meetup in London

Awesome Rick, that's so good to hear. Dark Souls is probably my favourite games of 'last gen', I'm glad to hear something good about it

Fuck all you haterz, Rick's the man. Getting it on PC next month

Artists moan about the design of their game in the kitchen over cups of tea, rather than telling designers!

Sometimes Will, I think that designers follow the exact same train of thought

I play my level

But maybe it doesn't have an Alien in it. Who knows. Maybe it has 9 Aliens in it. Maybe 50. Maybe you play AS the Alien.
Speculate.
-
I played the demo a while back and I enjoyed it. It's just one small slice of the game primarily featuring the Alien, so of course it's going to get less intense when you replay it over and over. I think the tension in the game resides in not knowing when/where the Alien is going to appear.
I shared similar concerns with the Alien AI too.

Anyone been playing this? Can't wait til next month

We can only make it look pretty

Nice one man, looks cool! did you use Zbrush?

I can't wait for Assassin's Creed: Unreal!

Have Crytek actually said what their new version of the engine brings to the table? Unreal is a complete overhaul, I wonder what Crytek have in mind. I know they did a lot of work on their engine to make it more physically based, not sure if that's gonna be released in the free SDK though.
