Working on a vehicle in my spare time. This is a space plane I kinda mashed together from various concepts, real space planes, and a few ideas I had floating around in my head. Never done a vehicle before, this is really good fun and it's a real challenge having to think about how everything fits together! This is just the high poly so far. It was only meant to be a small Substance Designer test but now that I'm using SD more at work, I just thought I'd go into more detail on this

Thinking further ahead, I may create an entire environment for this to sit in. I've been playing a lot of Space Engine, and I really need to practice my organic modelling/texturing more, so I may put this on a runway on some terraformed planet somewhere with a cool little sci-fi vista in the background! Should be good fun.

That sucks man. Make sure you keep your place well secured, they sound like the kind of crack heads that might start nicking stuff if you're not careful!

Looks like UE4 to me

Good job man! I'd really like to see some strong colours in there eventually, maybe some foliage has crept in in parts, or maybe some vibrant red banners of some sort.

Watched ep 4 today, it's nowhere near as exciting as it started out! Still it's interesting, gonna get to the end at least.

In a weird way, this interview has made me want to buy Godus to support PM, haha. Maybe it's all a big marketing ploy to rejuvenate his public persona.
-
That interviewer comes across as really unprofessional... What a horrible interview.

I don't even need to see the trailer to know it's bad, their promo images alone with Agent 47 doing stunts and going all rambo show's they miss the point of this franchise.
Agent 47 is not Rambo he's a fucking chameleon that puts poison in your Martin, and he's out of there before you even start to feel dizzy.
Fuck you Hollywood, once again. I fell in the trap of watching the first one, won't be falling on that trap again.
Oy, leave Martin alone!

Ooops I thought that was Orlando Bloom.

How are these heroes to control? I imagine it's really difficult to control 3 heroes at the same time! I know you can move them all together but then you aren't making the most of their abilities.
Sounds unique though.
PS this game is really fun. Been playing it with a load of guys at work. Fucking infuriating at times though, kinda feels even more infuriating than Dota/LoL when you have a 6-game losing streak.

It'd be a good investment if you're willing to put in the time and effort on upkeep.. But otherwise, probably not worth it

I'm really great at Monopoly!

That's where the money's at!

Yep it sucks man! Me and Emma split it between us so it's like £725 each. It's awesome living in london but that price is insane! I think we pay £1450 or something actually, but it doesnt really matter!

Mansfield is my closest town.....shieeeeet.
Village I'm in is like 1k people tops, probably actually only see about 20 a day though
Its cheaper for me to have my mortgage on my 3 bed house here (£350pm) and drive the 65 miles to work each day in a 4x4 than it is to rent a 1/2 bed flat near work!Wow man that's a great price for your house. Houses up north are so much cheaper! I pay £1500pm in Clapham. Totally not worth it.

Woah you just quoted El Exodus before he'd even made his post! Amazing! You're like a god!
-
On the flip side, a friend of mine bought a house in London 2 years ago, and it's gone up in price by £150,000. he's sorted for life

Hey guys! Have any of you tried out Space Engine? I know there are some fellow space nerds around here, so I think you'll find this interesting.
It's not so much a game as a universe simulator. Basically you can just fly around anywhere in the universe and go from 'space' level all the way down to planet surfaces. There's no objective in the game, it's just fascinating to zoom around exploring our solar system, galaxy and even beyond that, whilst some really atmospheric ambient music plays. Really cool stuff! Really gives you a sense of scale in our universe.
You can view stats of each sun/planet/moon, including atmosphere levels, gravity etc, and you can also find life in other systems! Though that isn't simulated at all yet.
What's incredible is that the entire engine is coded by just one guy.. Pretty amazing. It's coming on to Steam soon as well, I believe it's just been greenlit.
Download it here:
Here's a cool vid showing some of the amazing sights you can see.
