Just played through it, nice work HP.
There were a few bugs, such as birds flying in to the ground, but that's nothing when placed in context of this huge, beautiful island you've created!

I felt like I was watching a sleazy porn film when Cliff was walking down that corridor and knocked on the door.
I paused it there and stopped to make this post. I don't know if I should carry on or not ![]()
That's looking really nice.
However, it looks a little dark in the interior of that building. Brighten that up a bit, and also try messing with God-rays. I think they'd look awesome streaming in through the areas of glass without any moss.
Quote":2rol98c2]Me to, very funny indeed! In fact, this is a "new" kind of humor in the games industry, isn't it?At least I can't remember a single game mocking another one!
I am as MGS fan as it gets, and I laughed hard watching this!
Exactly, other MGS fans need to lighten up like you, HP. I don't think this is mocking MGS in a bad way; in fact, MGS fans should feel honoured that 'their' game has such a level of prestige that other games can parody it.
Apparently though, Metal Gear Solid (Not sure which one) makes a reference to Grand Theft Auto when somebody tries to steal a motorbike, the person saying, 'This isn't Vice City!', or something like that.
Holy crap, that Meet the Sniper video was incredible! I actually laughed out loud when
Quotethat Demoman got glass in his eye and started stumbling about shooting random grenades!
Haha, on the Kotaku comments for that video, you can easily tell which people are MGS fan-boys and which aren't.
Here's an example of the said MGS fanboy:
"I didn't laugh once. Didn't even crack a smile. Metal Gear Solid is in a league of its own and this game does not deserve to be joking about MGS."
Personally though, I loved the video! ![]()
Tony Jaa is an amazing choreographer. Have you guys seen 'Warrior King', by Tony Jaa? There's one amazing, continuous shot of him going up some stairs doing some kickass fighting! Check it out on youtube.
Ah, I thought Valve might be taking on community maps for TF2 when a contact of mine asked me if I'd made any more TF2 maps!
I'd love to work on another TF2 map sometime, but I really want to create my own assets for it.
Quote from Senturai still consider x18 to be the scariest section i have ever come across in a game. anything that leaves such mark of immersion is definitely worth the time.
I agree with you there. Those labs were so scary.
I remember the one part where you start to walk along a long corridor, and one of those psychic people enters the corridor behind you. That was scary as hell!
QuoteWe're not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.
That particular statement sold me.
Pledged!
Really good game, but that MrT bloke dominating the scoreboards doesn't exactly boost my confidence in-game. ![]()
I'm just waiting for Majestic Studios to find this post. Expect all of these textures to be used in Limbo of the Lost 2.
I sort of lack motivation sometimes, especially when it comes to something as big as learning a new engine, so having something to aim for would be a great motivator for me.
Clear Sky looks to be a lot better than the original STALKER. I loved the original, but there is no denying that it is flawed.
I just love the atmosphere they portrayed, it was incredible.
That was quite an epic read.
It was funny how he started calling you 'sir', haha.
I need to learn Unreal, so I'd be up for a mapping contest.
Actually, I don't think they are floating in mid-air, but it does look that way. I would try pulling them in by 8 units and seeing how that looks.
