Overall everything feels too bloomy and a tad contrasty. The light cookies on that third shot look repetitive and I can see the compression of the mask. You could easily loose these so your eyes naturally flow towards the scene and not a flat ceiling. Remenber our eyes tend to focus on the brighter spots of the image first, if the first thing I look at in an image is a compressed light cookie it's never a good sign.

I'd love to see some more refinements to the lighting, specially the light bounce and light contribution. It feels like the outdoors is really bright, but it's not leaking inside the interiors like it should, if Unreal's bounce isn't good enough, you can always give it a hand by hand placing some lights near the windows. Overall, I feel the lighting is lacking gradients, everything is the same brightness and it's very spoty with no natural places for you to rest your eyes on.

Is there a reason you went with noon for your lighting? I'd love to see a twilight setting, I'm sure it would make everything a lot more apealing. Either that, or I'd work on the sky a little more, bring back some of the blues, right now it's very hazy white.

Also, i'd work on the background a little further, I can pick out individual trees. Right now, either bring the trees closer to the windows or move them much further in the distance to add a epic backdrop, this would help scale a lot.

Congratulations on this, very good work.

I still haven't watched the movie or the anime but the story already grabbed my attention however. I'm really curious to know more about this universe, I'm finding it different and refreshing. Although I'm barely 4 hours in and it's just getting more interesting. I have a lot of questions, specially regarding the motivations of some of the characters and the world the game is set in. So far tho, the sidequests are either just simple fetch quests or hunter quests, I hope it gets more interesting later on, i'm sure it will.

The gameplay is fairly simple in the beginning but I'm sure it'll get more elaborate and fun as you start adding more layers to combat like spells, etc. I'm with Pogo that I wish I could play with the other 3 dudes other than just pressing a key and call cast their special. But in a way, it helps you really master your main guy.

I havent played a FF game since 7, and I'm having a blast with this for the simple reason that everything feels so new to me. So far, I'd go ahead and say if there's a game worth of your 60 bucks, this is definitely it, you can almost smell the money and labor they poured on this game. lol

I just had an epic moment with space ships the size of 10 world trade center buildings combined blow up a city and a few minutes later having a guy with a cooking hat ask me to find a wild tomato in the hoods.

    This game is something special

Yeah, you know man to me there's something about making environments that touches me in a level my conscious still can't fully comprehend. Just the process of it all is so rewarding that when you're doing it hours do quite fucking literally blend into minutes in your mind, and having stumbled with the concept of flow for myself before even knowing about what it is, was life changing.

That's why 10 years ago, i wouldn't know what to tell you but for damn sure would have wanted to still be creating cool worlds.

The word immersion gets thrown around a lot in our circles but i guess that's actually really just it, creating immerse world's is one hell of a powerful thing to do. 500 years ago painters were honing the skills of even for a brief second or two take you to another world, by using a still image, nowadays we're doing the real deal. So i don't know what the fuck will happen in 10 years but i hope shit stays this exciting cos it sure feels we're just flipping the first page really.

    So far, Trump has picked:

    1. For Attorney General someone (Jeff Sessions) who’s against the Voting Rights Act,

    2. For Secretary of Education someone (Betsy DeVos) who’s against public schools,

    3. For Secretary of Health and Human Services, someone (Tom Price) who’s against public health insurance,

    And is considering

    4. For Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, someone (Ben Carson) who’s against the Fair Housing Act,

    5. For Secretary of State, someone (Rudi Giuliani) who’s among the most undiplomatic people in America.

I had a horrible sore throat today and stayed home so I had time to finish the game. Clocking in at around 35 hours of gameplay, which is a lot considering some people finished it around the 12 hour mark. That's one of the wonderful things about this game, you really can tackle it however the fuck you want, and I really appreciate it for it. I managed to finish the game by killing only a couple of enemies since I wanted to try and get the good ending, and I loved the game for this, you wont fail the game if you kill a person or two per level, but if you do go on a killing frenzy there's a few repercussions for it.

I'm very glad I ticked off the objectives in the game's HUD, the levels felt a lot more like a real sandbox, it made me look at signs, read maps and actually look around for specific locations so I'm able to progress in the story. Meaningful exploration is one of my favourit things to do in video games, and I really think Dishonored 2 nailed this specific bullet point.

This game feels like what I wanted Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to be, instead of one big hub with no natural flow to the environments, this game offers different levels all with their own twists and they flow into each other wonderfully. It's the perfect balance between linearity and sandbox environments. The level design is amazing, if I were to rank my favourit thing about this game that's gotta be it. The verticality, explorability, nooks and crannies to explore and there's always at least 2 or 3 different paths to an objective. And if you want to explore the environment, the Runes are a great incentive to do so, some of those fuckers are hidden really well, even with the heart they're really hard to find, resulting in a very rewarding feeling when you do find them. (I think I must have found 90% of all runes in the game) Every level has a black market shop so you can spend the coins you find throughout the game, the economy feels fair and I never really felt I had too many coins with me so I kept coming back to the shops as soon as I had money for specific upgrades I wanted.

Also, to every single environment artist that worked on this, I hope you're damn proud of what you achieved here. My wife saw me play the game, and she'd ask me: "Why are you taking screenshots of walls? lol" It's a jaw dropping good looking game with it's own DNA and niche, that's not easy to do and you guys nailed it from concept to execution. I loved the tall architecture of Karnaca. (Even if it does result in some really weird and long flights of stairs xD)

As for negatives, there's not a lot to mention really, but I wish the music was a little better, I love me a good score or even a memorable theme music and this is kind of absent from D2. Another thing I might mention is that the AI is sometimes a little lackluster, after playing The Last of Us, almost all sneaking games I play pale in comparison to that game's masterful AI, where enemies actually take cover, they attack you in packs, if they realize you have a weapon they try to outflank you and when you do manage to take down almost every enemy in a group the last guy shits his pants and tries to get outta dodge. It's little things like this that I would love to see in a game like D2, an AI that actually surprises me and feels believable. As for the combat, I wish there was more ways to knock out enemies for those wanting to do a non lethal gameplay. One of the few ways to do it other than sneak from behind is to parry and immediately choke the enemy, this results in really awkward pauses during fights where you're just waiting for the enemy to strike you. It would be great if we had a blunt weapon in D2 so I can knock out people if they do engage in combat with me.

Dishonored 2, brought to you by the same guy who directed Deus Ex Invisible war is my GOTY 2016. Congratulations Arkane, always happy and proud to see a quality game like this coming out of Europe.

It's a big shame about the PC version, yeah. The latest patch fixed most of the problems to me, i was even able to turn a couple more fancy graphic options and still retain smooth fps. Game still jitters for a couple seconds when you enter a large area, other than that it's ok. But there's no excuse to continue seeing the PC platform being neglected like this. It keeps happening over and over again in these last few years, from diferent studios and diferent publishers. I understand the technical reasons behind it, but I don't understand the true reason it continues since PC is still a huge platform and growing.

The gaming community should focus more on stuff like this and less on wether or not their newest space sym really is the life changing game they want or other superfluous shit we keep seeing exploding in the games media headlines.

That said... this is a good motherfucking game man! Every mission so far managed to introduce something fresh by building on aspects and elements you've learned before and introducing complete and fun one time powers like the

Spoiler Time machine power! Being able to switch back and forth from present and 3 years ago felt really fresh and unexpected.
