    Yep.

I think he's been with crytek since far cry days. Great guy.

By now, the match maker is fairly decent at putting you with people of your skill. This shouldn't be an issue at all for you, even when starting out, there's a gigantic pool of people playing. Plus, not that it matters, but there's actually still loads of new players starting.

Good, there's enough of those around. I love me a linear game. HL2 is linear and it's a cult hit.

Mario looks fun, can't wait to play around with it. Mario games are usually some of the most polished experiences ever. Galaxy 1 and 2 are still the pinacle of game design to me.

That said, the world this time around is really weird. Adding realistically proportional human beings into the mix makes the player question shit you shouldn't want people to be questioning, Sega made that same mistake with Sonic when they threw him in with humans, i just find it weird and it's better when the universe can stand on its own, that's why I actually prefer the look of Mario Rabbids over this.

New York looks really grey and weird, they didn't stylize it enough for me, in comparison the Mexico level looks absolutely awesome and more akin to what Mario is. Same for the woods level, looks strangely photo realistic.

I'm sure all these concerns will fade once you imersive yourself with the gameplay, but yeah...

The fixed conference is now uploaded on youtube, that video is extracted from there i believe. Again, at e3 they replay that area in a completely diferent way, more like how you would play a game, playing around with the games systems.

All the more reasons why I'm curious about how the story might develop drywall, right?

I mean, Cyberpunk has been stationary for a while, and its formula kept unchanged, so much so that you're being conservative about the fact of playing around with its blueprint, and give it a diferent spin.

The need to come up with a new name for a sub-genre might come up, if it really prooves to be a problem, who knows, but my point being that just because a game, movie or book deviates from the foundation of its very genre, it doesn't mean it shouldn't exist based solo on that critic, imho. We don't even know what the story will be like, so we have no grounds to be dismissive of it so rapidly.

I never really gave it a deep thought about what Cyberpunk is or isn't before this, but in my head it's a dystopiaan future where the common person is opressed by some form of power. Add rain, neon and make it night time = $money$

To wrap it up on my side, I'm giving the man a chance, if he fucks up then I'll be the first in line to critique it, until then I'll wait. :)

Saw the extended demo of this at e3.

I liked it, but it went in a direction I was not expecting based on last years demo.

They have this weird "detective mode" now, a-la Batman. So you can see objects of interest on the world, I really dislike this new trend of games doing this. Horizon, Witcher, Dishonored, all have it. And it's really annoying having to switch view modes to see shit that's otherwise nearly invisible to the naked eye. It feels like "lazy" design and I wish video games stopped doing this.

They have this interesting system where "the world is out to get you", which offers a lot of unpredictability and it seems it's a true sandbox where diferent shit will happen to diferent players based on how you play and what the AI does. They played the same area as the sony presentation, but it flowed completely diferent.

Really interested in this game regardless of minor qualms. Can't wait.

Saw gameplay of this at e3.

Environments look good, I like how colorful it is.

Shooting feels ok'ish, it misses the humph that great games offered us in the past year, Doom, Destiny, even Dishonored shooting feels better. There's a weird jankiness to the game that I can't describe, but hey its still WIP so we'll see, but from what I've seen it didn't impress me much.

Lighting looks really good though, interiors look amazing considering its a real time lighting solution, seems like they're doing some GI and AO.

The setting seems a bit weird, seems like they're trying to push for some sort of social criticism while still trying their best to be politically correct?

The new maps just look terrible, still massive problems on tech, netcode... Its really a shame for the Quake franchise imho.

Has anyone infos who is making those maps? I dont want to see this game to fail caused by incompetence, i really love quake/doom/id... But this is a nogo!

    :(

What's wrong with the maps? Honest question, cos I barely touched the game to formulate an opinion.

As for netcode, could it be that since it's beta, Bethesda didn't invest on proper servers for this yet?

Saw some gameplay, it's deffo classic CoD, in a good way.

I actually really liked the previous CoD game, sci-fi galore. But I guess this is a welcome even if predictable change of pace.

I'll probably stay away from MP since Quake Champions will keep me busy but am very much forward to play the campaign.

The DLC is great too, yes! It's short and sweet.

I know now one plays these games for the story, but the cliffhanger ending left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Hope they do a better job there.

The shooting feels so damn satisfying just thinking about it makes me wanna replay it. I also loved the diferent settings you get to explore, some really unexpected environments. I hope wolf 2 continues that trend.

Their e3 booth looked crazy, they built an actual dinner, exterior and interior. Ahah

This is why I disasociate myself from identity politics, and why I refuse to label my political beliefs as left or right. Life has a more colorful spectrum than that, we're a complex species, I try my best to stay unbias, unpartial and analyse cases individually. Both sides seem incredibly nasty, it's tribalism at it's core, so I just sit back and enjoy the circus.

Look, here's what I see here. I see a indie dev who's making a game, made a trailer for it, trailer blew up and someone with a lot of free time went through every single one of the devs tweets, eventually that person found statements that doesn't align with his/her political agenda and decided to start a character assassination campaign. Am i really the only one who thinks that's insane? Does this mean if I release my own game, someone's gonna go through all my EOT posts? Cos if that's so, I might as well stop creating any kind of artistic media, lmao. xD
