This is another great video that you might like if you enjoyed that Harvey Smith interview. Arkane is my favorite studio and Prey was my GOTY last year. I suspect maybe a noclip documentary on Arkane soon...

Prey is definitely a must play, yes!

I think you might be right yeah, but It'll be on the live game soon, there's a plethora of things that go into releasing these maps, such as bugs and performance. There's a lot of content on that map that needs to be crammed on the same perf budget as all the other maps.

I beat this game twice on my switch already, lol. Perfect little game to take on the road too.

I'm a huge S3&K fan, and whereas Mania doesn't beat that game for a plethora of reasons, it IS the Sonic game that fans have been asking for literally decades. It does suffer from pacing problems, you'll jump from one level to the other with no given reasons whatsoever, at least on previous games they would do a crude cinematic to explain why you'll be playing a massive spaceship in the clouds on the next level. Like, on older games, you'd start on the green hills, go to the desert, then the sky ruins connect you to the big egghead massive spaceship in the sky then you're in space pursuing Dr Robotnic, yeah I know it's silly af, but at least there was an attempt to give the game some flow, unfortunately Mania doesn't have that.

It was really interesting to play some Sonic levels that I knew very well, only to realize that the design has been tweaked here and there, they're usually a bit longer too.

The soundtrack is fucking amazing, it's so good I actually sometimes just play it on the background while I work, perfect groove to put you in the zone imho.

    Woot!

It's common practice for people to create limits on tools. Having boundaries helps you be creative, when you're limited by a specific factor you have a smaller playing field that you can control better, when you have a "sky is the limit" situation it's more daunting and prone to paralysis by analysis.

Plus, it creates lines for programmers and others to measure performance and other aspects.

Maybe im readying too much onto it, but i have seen this happen repetitively and still do.

Really looking forward to this man.

That edge decal on the top right wall is very repetitive, other than that, really cool!
