What a mess of a trailer. Not enough screen effects imo. lol

Yeah, change is good man. Iteration is key.
LD blockouts are rarely a one to one blueprint for the level. In theory, that's what it should be, but in practice that's just when the real iteration happens, when art marries with the design.
The only thing that stands out out to me, is the art style. There's nothing unique about it, there's no particular stylization going on that makes you go like "Oh yeah, that's definitely Day's Gone DNA on there". Even Last of Us, which obviously shared the same realm, managed to find it's particular look with the clickers and the slightly exaggerated lighting and architectural shapes.
Gameplay is hella interesting tho, but I hope they get rid of the screen clutter like 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp 20xp. Seriously...
It looks like they're using the same engine they shipped Mad Max with, which makes sense.
Avalanche is a badass studio, and great choice for this IP. I'm liking what I'm seeing. Rage had stellar shooting and stellar enemy animations, I hope Rage 2 also has that same feeling when you shoot someone in the head with a big ass shotgun. It's that minute to minute feeling that id software really nailed with the original one, and I hope it's in the sequel as well. Because everything like the open world aspect, driving, quest system etc, will undoubtedly be real good.
Can't wait! ![]()
This one, so far was my favourit boss of the game, so fucking epic! Minor spoilers bellow
Spoiler
I've still to play the DLC, it's download and read to go for months on my steam account, lol. I really wanna play it tho.
I've heard similar criticisms of the LD in the DLC, can't wait to play it tho. Games like these are rare these days. ![]()

Grats on the release.
PS: anyone got annoyed when Valve released Canals and Rialto? ?
Yeah, we usually try to play with the expectations a bit, right. It's not about predicting the future, leave that for documentaries, it's about selling the fantasy of what that specific spot in the world means for people and how a idealized version of it would look like in the Overwatch universe.
Oh, no shit, that's cool! I'll order when it's available on amazon.com. Thanks for letting me know man.
It often happens while playing this game, where I'm so overwhelmed by the beauty of this game's environments, I pause and take it all in for a couple minutes then I call it a night. Nothing like finishing a day with a sense of wonder and awe!
Brothers and sisters of the mapcore, Rialto is now live! ![]()
Have fun shooting at those poor gondoliers.
Yeah, I'm about 20 hours in myself, probably a little below that, and game keeps getting better and better! What an achievement, Red Dead 2 has some fierce competition for GOTY with this game.
Holy shit, this is AMAZING fucking news!

Spoiler 10 bucks says that hopkins will come back, eventually.
Westworld S2E1 is out, and it's as good as I expected.
Not gonna spoil it for everyone, but I like how it feels like a continuation, yet the tone is different, it feels different, the story develops differently in your mind while they're telling it now. This show really makes you question some very deep moral questions in your mind, also interesting read: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/23/opi…_eid=e9ca7c7a54
So, valve just bought Campo Santo. Wild news.
Man, this game did not age.
