That multi-core option started giving problems with the newest nvidia drivers, the option used to work. so, i don't think It's valves fault.
one thing I noticed, is that the cars are a lot more speedy now... I kinda liked the cars on the first one, slow and realistic. and they got better as you progressed into the game. I don't want another GTA...

mmm, that looks rather poor, at least for the quality bar of the stuff you use to show around here.
the trunk texture looks way too even, and it needs way more foliage polygons to make it look realistic and believable.
