I can go back to Germany happy now!I just hope you guys watched it in 3D, It's fucking awesome. Up until now I hated 3D, because It's all fake, basically it blurs the pic, giving the feeling of depth, in exchange for image quality, sharpness, etc, but not Avatar! It's the first decent 3D movie I've ever watched, although I admit I didn't watched many. it proves 3D is pretty cool if well executed. (I hate the fact that people call it 3D btw, it is in fact 2.5D

One can't let this stuff affect you, I always try and keep my cool in those situations, wasnt easy but I managed to do it, on the other hand there was a lot of shouting and even some people getting arested and shit.I was suposed to get the plane monday night, but the flight got canceled, so I got a ticket to the waiting list for the next flight in the morning. i went home, slept for 2 hours and got back to the airport. No free seats on the morning flight tho, so we had to stay there and pray there were some seats on the next flights (No luck, flight over flight). Eventually, they finnaly managed to get us a flight to lisbon on wednsday morning. So I had to get a bus to Porto when I got there... And when I got to Porto's airport, my bag was no where to be found.
that's it, hellish 2 days!
Anyways, xmas dinner!

Or don't use renders at all, put them into an engine, a viewer or even simply Max's viewport with a DX shader. Renders make real-time assets look blurry and out of place. Real-time ftw.

About what concept art is or not, yes I absolutely agree. But that's just one pic, don't make a big deal out of it, and there's a story behind that pic. It was from a canceled project, It's a shame in my opinion i got to play their last build and that thing had potential, it looked 5x better than that concept art, but I guess a game isn't all about graphics, right?
Anyway, I'm looking forward for you guys to take a look at what we're cooking here!
