Nice, nice!
Having a sketchbook thread is awesome, keeps you motivated!
Now continue on updating this! Nice start also, but don't forget to post textures, wires, whatever helps us giving you better feedback.

That female marine giving you orders / instructions has such a bad voice acting! ![]()

Fuck it though, so far I'm having a blast with this! And I didn't even tried neither the Alien nor Predator! ![]()
QuoteAnd omg, having droids has enemies is fucking awesome! Such a nice and simple idea, not sure why it never crossed me before. What it ruins it though, is not being able to crouch, therefor you die a lot when fighting those fuckers because you can't take cover.
What the fuck were rebellion thinking when they removed crouch from the game?
residentzack, welcome to mapcore.
First of all, this is not your blog, twitter or whatever, so you better refrain from double / triple post from here on in, we get it that you're pretty good at having one way conversations, just keep it to yourself, alright?
Look, I don't want to be blunt, but you started on a wrong foot here. Just, behave!
About your question on the first post. Just do whatever you want to, if you don't have any ideas, just watch video tutorials and recreate what the guy is doing, that will get you started.
Oh, penumbra it's an awesome game!
QuoteI loved the puzzle where you must actually learn and use morse code, fuckin awesome!

It looks alright tbh. Problem is that we've been watching the same level for years now.
I'm sure this game will blow our minds not only graphically, but the plot will be awesome as well as the gameplay. It's a Remedy game!!!!
That's true, you've said the same about AvP3. I really can't understand why.
You can play games in offline mode in steam as well, what's up?
mmm, yeah good point. Bad shopped or what the hell is it?
This months Edge magazine has a special article with more info on Crysis2, and new screenshots.
I'd post some scans, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to, but:
So, what did the winners got exactly? Apart from the spotlight...
I couldn't agree more Minos, that's why I love Mirror's edge art direction so much! Clean and beautiful. Most of the games are grundgy and noisy, that's a fact.
Maybe It's a lame excuse, but It's just that It's hard to make clean environments look believable. Noisy textures will make the overall look of the scene look busy, which can fool the players eyes for detail, same goes for screen filters! I hate overused DoF, bloom (HDR), AO, and shit like that, It's nice that it's there but don't make the game / scene about it to the point where you can't make up what the hell you're looking at, not even shapes let alone textures.
UE3 doesnt help at that either, with it's over the top screen filters that people just use erroneously, starting with UT3 itself, an authentic visual noise clusterfuck fest.
Fuck yeah, awesome mods!

And finally, the GT review.
Oh yeah, i forgot you mentioned it already.
Those screenshots were taken with everything maxed out at 1680*1050. But it was running at 20/30 fps with some drops during firefights, so I had to drop the res to 1280 (same as the xbox 720p as we all know) and it's pretty fluid now!
