in my very humble opinion, it needs moar orangy and bloomy feel, then again it's 2 am so don't quote me on that! ![]()

Nope, you're only thinking in "one dimension" lighting wise. Lighting bounces around from surface to surface, the sun would hit the floor and bounce back into that cliff, almost like having a light in the floor, which is something you may use. Just place a light in the floor with a 180º angle shooting upwards, click on the light color eye drop and click on the floor to get the correct color, adjust the intensity and be amazed at the difference! ![]()
We were using this technique to fake GI! ![]()

Oh and about the watter, the fog is way too bright. Reduce the fog color multiplier AND make the color darker for a more realistic look.
Even the OST from the first one is awesome. If that OST and this game doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will.

That's a beautiful screenshot man!
And yeah, exactly!
Get rid of those pepples in the way tho!
lol, sentura doesn't know about super sonic. ![]()
What, no! Are you trying to bring the UT3 era back? Fuck desaturated environments... I'm sorry seir, but I so don't agree with you!
When i said it looked a bit too brownish for me, i was talking about the art direction and the kind of mood those screenshots are selling, I didn't said it was wrong (It's actually probably pretty accurate, it is a desert) and if anything I would ADD a few more color variation. You're saying you would remove color, remove the contrast, and have desaturated and pale environments? ![]()
Quote from ChavvoAbout the photos, I didnt feel a shit for the people in there. I remember when I was ~19, I began to realize that my behavior with the others was not being the appropriate in this world of disputes, i was to gentle with people. At that moment I began to transforme my heart into a rock and I did it. Today, i'm sure it was the greatest change i made in my fuckin life.

Sorry, I was meant to reply to this but never got the chance to! ![]()
Really really nice results here! Looks very good!
What e-freak was trying to say is that there is no obvious leading in this level. When doing level design, is very important to know how to lead the player with visual hints, so the player wont get lost. (Strong lights, composition of roads or smart placement of rocks, placement of dense vegetation on the boarders and less dense on the main paths, etc, etc, etc)
Free roam is important, adds realism and well, it's what CryEngine does best! But there always needs to be one main "path" for the player to go, and then add a couple "Off the Beaten Path" paths, does that makes any sense?
Then again, I didn't played the map so I'm not sure if your map suffers from this, I'm just trying to make a point!

Quote"theres a lot of combat variety in Rage, through engineered weapons (like turrets and a toy car with a bomb strapped to it), environmental kills (electrocuting water, etc.) and your arsenal of guns""I was not prepared to see how the AI moves through the world and reacts to damage. There are many clans in the Rage world, all with their own attributes, and the one we saw were particularly acrobatic, swinging down from the pipe fixtures and flipping off walls as they executed attacks. Most impressive was when the player turned down a hallway and one came in, bouncing off the walls before roundhouse kicking our character in the face. They quickly knocked down turrets and got right back to their primary target"
Interesting small bit from video (not in text preview) - when player dies, it's not forced to repeat game since last checkpoint, "Nanotech" revives player and continues playing from same position.
Drop by my place later tonight, I'll show ya!
I definitely don't hate him but I'm with stepp on this one, even on the blood diamond I thought he was too young for the role he was trying to portrait, the beard helps but it doesn't make miracles.
still, great actor featured on great movies.
Just use xNormal, there's might be a bit of rebaking with trial and error and adjusting parameters but no cage.
No watch Aliens, and be ready for some awesomeness.
He sure did!
Welcome to crycore!
